Should pros have a spot to host

Was curious as to what pros think about this..
If I cant host and you cant host that means I'm gonna have to get a room that costs me 70 to 90 dollars for day use...that on the top of what most pros charge at 80 to 120 an hour...that's an expensive cuddle!
I just think if you're gonna charge you should be able to host.

Hosting has made my life much easier, I cannot cuddle in my home so I had to get an office space to cuddle host in. Before the pandemic, I was in enough demand between clients who could host in their homes and clients who could pay for a hotel or were already in a hotel that I didn't have much of an incentive to host. As the pandemic dragged on office spaces became readily available and I decided to start hosting. I do charge more now because of my office space and the extra costs that come with it but the extra amount I charge is still much cheaper than my old rate plus a hotel. There are plenty of cuddlers who do host but they most likely charge more than the cuddlers who don't host.

This is a genuine problem for the cuddling community. @xandriarain has shown the way, but so far I don't know of anybody who has followed it. The solution, at least in high cuddling density areas, is "Cuddling rooms" where half a dozen professionals share perhaps three rooms. But I'm not sure we have critical mass in the industry for that yet.

That is what is keeping me away from Pros . A few Local ones cannot host

Example I don't host in my home , only when I'm traveling and/or have a hotel booked already.

When I can't host and neither can the client, we negotiate. I'll cuddle for 2 hours for the rate of 1 hour, in exchange we either split the hotel in which I get to keep it to use for another client or they pay for the room and keep it.

I don't blame pros not wanting to host in their homes. There's a risk involved letting strangers know where you live.

@xandriarain and a few others have spaces dedicated away from their homes to cuddle in and that's smart! But it's not a feasible expense for most pros here..

So, let me get this straight. You want two things: a place to cuddle, and somebody to cuddle. When somebody offers you one of those things at a very reasonable price (the cuddle), you are angry with them because they do not offer you the other one (the room), free or below cost, as well?

Idk, like everything cost effectiveness is important if you're going to do something, so that needs to be taken into account.

For me, I won't do outcalls unless the session is at least equal to the length it takes me roundtrip to get to you. Even then I'm partial to staying within an hour of where I live.

If you're going to rent a room for us to cuddle, go with a longer cuddle. Renting a room for a 1 hour cuddle might not make sense, but a 4-6 hour cuddle? I've had clients do that when I was traveling and didn't have a space to host and it worked out fine.

If that's not something you want to do and you really want a one hour cuddle only, well then find someone that can host. You might have to expand your search to find that person though.

P.s office space is plentiful, but the cost of running an office can get expensive. I got reallly lucky with my upcoming new office but not everyone is so fortunate.

I am fairly new to the site, but I agree with the suggestion for pros to share a space and split the rent, especially because I am based in NYC and office spaces are wayy too expensive to be considered for hosting. So far I have rented hotels for hosting, and I charge $50 flat fee for renting the room. I pay the difference but that alone makes it much easier for me to be able to host when needed, so that's what has been working for me. If I can get some NYC pros together who wouldn't mind splitting rent for a suite that's in a central part of the city (easy for most boroughs to travel to) that would be awesome.

What's so crazy to me is that pro cuddling when it first started was often $80 per hour WITH hosting. Now you got pro cuddlers who don't even host wanting $100 or $120 per hour. The value has dropped considerably if you have to get a room on top of their hourly rate.

That's why you negotiate.
I'll offer an extra hour for free to offset the cost of a room if they don't already have one.
I don't host new clients in my home for safety reasons.

If a pro wants you to pay for a room on top of her rates and you're not comfortable with it you're always free to decline. She'll either price herself out of the market or have enough work to justify her rates.

Some keep higher rates to keep themselves as busy as they want to be. They know there will be fewer clients but at a higher payout, which they prefer. Lower rates may equal more clients but not every pro here wants or can do this fulltime.

Renting a cuddle space is expensive and quite a few areas don't have the client market to justify paying $400-$1000 a month for cuddle space.

@Envie that is awesome. The extra hour for free thing really works. I usually would spend most of that giving my cuddler a back rub and shoulder rub anyways so they didn't see it as a burden lol.
I've suggested that to some of the pros here and they either block me for suggesting it or tell me off.
But it's fine. They can charge whatever they want. I just won't be one of their clients. No biggie.

Well then I could see why you'd be a little annoyed, offering a solution that feels equal to both parties only to be blocked or insulted. Like... what?
At least decline the negotiation gracefully.

I will sometimes split the cost of a room, cover the room myself if the session extends past 3 hours, or offer free time. You gain happy, repeat clientele this way. Seems like good business sense. 🤷‍♀️
