Starting all over in a brand new place, have you? would you?

  • I disagree with the idea that is being propagated in this thread, that your problems go with you. I have a lot of debt. I will sell my house, that will solve my debt problem. I have been left by two mothers of my children. I will not get in another relationship again. That solves that problem. You can only play the hand you have been dealt, and in my case, I fold. Children spell "love" T-I-M-E. The mothers of my children have drained me financially such that I cannot fight them in court anymore to spend time with them, to raise them, to love them. I am experiencing parental alienation. It is excruciating to me to say that I have to let go to my children. But I cannot even talk to them to say that to them, much less tell them I love them, or hold them. I have nothing left. I have to start over. I have no choice. I have to sell. I have to move. I have no family anymore. I have to start over. There are no other options. For anyone who loves the war on white men, raise a cheer. It's your day. Have a nice day folks.

@cookiecrumb sorry to hear about your situation. Its life.☝️ it's your choice to start new relationship again with the right person. You can still see your children if you fight in the court. I know how it feels when you can't see your beloved once. never be in debts again especially interest is not allowed in my religion for big reason, it will destroy your life. You're still young and seem a smart person.

  • I have done it a few times, the 1st. time was for a better job, WV. to Maryland, it worked out very well. I was just out of Wash. DC, a lot of jobs there. Then I had the opportunity to buy the very house that my grandfather built in WV. and it was the very house I was born in, so I moved back to WV. and at that time jobs were very hard to get.
I did what my father had told me once as a teenager, he said when looking for a job, tell them that you are looking for WORK !!!, I have always done that and never had an issue when looking for work. I then moved to FL. after the house burned to the ground and it was way under insured and I wanted to get away from the bad winters. The move to FL. worked out great for me, ended up getting work at a marina as a mechanic and then went out on my own to start my own business, long story short, ended up selling my boat sales & service center and retired at 55. So sometimes when you get pushed into a move, it may end way better for you in the long run. I would never move back, I get to ride my motorcycle yr. round and well as drive my old conv. any time I want, NO road salt to eat up your cars. very happy here !!

  • I have relocated to another state before, from Texas to Kentucky - and it is invigorating at times as you have new people to meet, new experiences to have and new sights to see and love. While you are still the same person as many before me stated you do get a clean slate in a sense as you are building rapport with your new setting.
I had an opportunity to cuddle with someone new in Austin this past week and they were a recent transplant. It illuminated for me the benefits of cuddling a pro or even perhaps an enthusiast as a means to get your needs for touch met while you are still freshly meeting people who you may grow close enough to cuddle ect.

  • @cookiecrumb by problems what I, and maybe others mean is how you feel inside … the hurt you carry , financial problems is a reality for everyone whose on the grid, but I promise if my only problems happened to be only financial, than I would be the happiest person in the world. Would selling your house & eliminating your debts allow you to spend time with your kids / raise them / & love them? Will that burden in your heart still be there regardless what your financial situation is? Even if you have the money to keep fighting in court isn’t that a hurt in itself what you have to go through?

I have no choice. I have to sell. I have to move. I have no family anymore. I have to start over. There are no other options. For anyone who loves the war on white men, raise a cheer. It's your day. Have a nice day folks.

Nobody is discouraging anyone from moving on / starting all over & a new chapter in their lives at all … if anything it is one of the bravest most adventurous thing anyone could do … I think you took this in a personal negative way … and “ celebrating the war on white man”? You think anyone is celebrating or happy that you’re going through what you’re going through … & more so because you’re white? That comment caught me by surprise.

  • I've just up & left job I was doing, now having to go to new place of work I’ve never been to before & starting all over? It did not excite me or scares me, just needed to change scene. I've done that already & sometimes that included moving home too & mostly it did turn out ok. It was not everything I thought it would be, just made best of situation, for better or worse, the move did not leave all my problems behind, just delayed them and reappeared when I moved back to same place I was before, with my new experience to help me cope better.

  • I moved from London after 22 years to Swansea in Wales to be closer to my family. It was both easy and hard I suppose - lovely to be closer to family but also hard to leave all my friends in London. However I’m going there at the weekend to catch up so maybe I can have the best of both worlds. I feel lucky in that way. My ex wife moved from Australia to the U.K. - that takes some courage I think.

  • Depends on whether our problems are of our own making or not. Many of them are and will come with us since we’re still the same person. However, sometimes our location just is not a good environment for us personally like a gay person in a small, Midwestern town who would be happier in a larger, more gay friendly metropolitan area or a person living in an urban area who would be happier homesteading in a rural area. Or someone who lives in an economically depressed area and needs a job. Or someone who just enjoys that kind of adventure, enjoys the newness of living in a different location.

But if we’re prone to getting into bad relationships, or ripping people off, or getting into trouble because we’re too impulsive, or blaming others for our failures, those characteristics will follow us no matter where we go until we do the work of changing.
