Personal goals

[Deleted User]Protector (deleted user)

What are some of your personal goals for 2022? I just started a new job last month, so my primary goals are related to performing well in that new role, and I also want to get faster in my running (specifically shaving 2 minutes per mile from my run time).

What’s on your list? Let’s cheer each other on to success in the new year!

  • Some of the things on my list:

Buy a medical device. And maybe try to travel a bit if it can't really wait: cause I might have to have a medical treatment with possible devastating complications in the near future. So I want to enjoy and have some new experiences while I know I can with a lot more ease. Getting further in my education is also on my list.

Thanks for sharing guys! I am working on myself as a whole (physically, personally, financially, and mentally). I am super excited that my roomies are onboard too! I'm also looking to expand my cuddling business and take on another part time job, transporting patients to their appointments and home.

  • My only goal for 2022 is to minimize my adulting so I can laze about and have fun.

My goals for 2022 are the same goals I have every single day. Learn something new, expand on an idea, create something, further solidify trust and loyalty in relationships, maybe get a kitten.

  • @JasonCuddles

Mine is to minimize my childishness and grow up, well... probably, most definitely. Wanna trade places for a year or something? 🪄🎩 🤣

  • Survive another year of covid and continue to experience fully what life offers! :)

The usual trying to eat better and exercise more, it’s tough to do when cooped up at home most of the time and living so close to the local shops but going to give it another go.

  • My personal goals for 2022 (in no particular order) is travel to Cali 🌴 / Florida 🌊 / new Kitten 🐱/ & by the end of the year be able to take a full years - leave of absence from my job (entire 2023)

(Goals I know for sure I won’t accomplish & will fail 😅😂 - not drink soda 🥤 for the entire year (Coca cola 😋) / gym Atleast 4 times a week (my consistency ends after 12 weeks) / six 8 ounces of water a day. If I’m able to fully do these last 3 things for the entire year it will be an amazing accomplishment but I doubt it lol

I don't really think of life in years anymore. Years are just arbitrary assignments.

I've realized that I don't have a problem with self discipline, so goals usually get accomplished. They come up as needed and upon reflection, and if they are beneficial I implement them.

I currently train as a boxer 4 times a week, meditate almost daily, read often, regularly meet people who I care about, and I enjoy my professional work. I guess think I want to squeeze in is more time to create music and art. But time is a fickle mistress and the rarest thing I possess.

  • @MCcuddles2 I always enjoy reading your responses. Thank you for sharing!

Personally the New Year is going to be a big shift. I am moving away from my Hometown in a week. I do not know anyone in Reno but I am excited to build up a community of people who share similar interests and that encourage each other to indulge in our passions!

Speaking of passions, I want to be more self-disciplined when it comes to fostering mine. I got a self-care planner to stay focused and organized, and it comes with thankfulness reminders and introspective writing prompts. My goal is to set aside an hour a day (or at least every other day) to journal, work on my poetry, songs, short stories, ect.

I have also made it a goal to be more confident and open with sharing to social media. I have fantasized about making YouTube videos since I was in middle school, and even invested in the video equipment. I dream of dissecting my favorite music, making silly videos, sharing my old writing, personal storytimes, and my thoughts about consciousness/spirituality. Nothing is holding me back except my own awkwardness and I've reached the point where my desire to live freely doing what I enjoy exceeds the self-doubt.

  • To be present and in the moment.
To get out of my head and let go!!!

  • I want to get back into a workout routine and try to do at least three workouts a week. I also want to get more on top of my bookkeeping, and actually, make headway with my financial goals. 2021 felt like 2020 part two, I was in survival mode and did not make a lot of progress in any area of my life. So for 2022 I will be happy if I can make significant progress in just one area of my life.

  • @xandriarain "So for 2022 I will be happy if I can make significant progress in just one area of my life."

Yep! One step at a time, even if just to get in the flow state.

A while ago I set multiple goals and found that I was barely doing any of them. So I reduced it down to one, which I am still getting the hang of. Once I'm better at it, I plan to incrementally try incorporating more of my other goals.

  • These are all great. My personal goals are to be more actionable in my personal wellness. It feels really good to be in a place where I love and care about myself, and I want that to translate to more physical things like diet, sleep, and exercise.

  • @Lovelight I would consider trading but I have too much adulting to do...

  • Try to let other people's negativity not get to me so much. I read you can imagine a bubble of protective energy. I wonder if this actually works?

  • Happy New Year cuddly friends?

  • Some cool goals, if you are looking for them.

  • Learning a language (I won't, but I may increase my vocabulary) and learning a musical instrument (I'd be happy to be able to play one song).

  • ...Well, I'm writing a book. I suppose I'd like to get past chapter eight.

And if I could finish whatever this horrible knit abomination is that I've found myself working on, that would be nice as well. Maybe I'll even find a use for it! (But probably not.)
