  • BrianL RE: Black, followed by Red.

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. When I think of black & red, the color contrast inherent in volcanoes comes to mind, with black lava oozing from a red hole of fire.

  • MxSmith RE: Vermillion (because I like how it sounds)

Thanks for your reply! Sorry about the delayed reply. LOL, I’m sitting here with a big grin on my face because I like how vermillion sounds as well; vermillion is a fun word to say & to spell. I have heard of it before, but I googled it to see how it actually looks. I think that it’s an orangeish–red, but if you were going to wear vermillion, what color(s) would you want to wear with it?

  • quixotic_life RE: Periwinkles and Sages...

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. I think that periwinkle and sage make a pretty pastel color combination!

  • Hbang RE: All colours are glorious… including clear, reflecting and complementing each other or by themselves…I may like yellow in the morning and black by the evening

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. I like polychromatic colors schemes that can be worn like tie–dye, and I think that you might like tie–dye too because it’s a wearable proliferating polychromatic palette. . . . I like yellow paired with black, but I also think that yellow looks good with chocolate brown.

  • Morpheus RE: Black

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. Black is a nice, conservative, sophisticated color that goes with anything; can you think of ANY color that black won’t match?

  • SweetiSammi RE: Pink, lavender, and green

Thanks for your reply! I appreciate the visual images accompanying your response that shows enthusiasm for the color that you chose! Sorry for the delayed reply. I think that pink, lavender, and green are a lovely trio of pastel colors, and your visual image of flowers & grass exemplifies how beautiful they look together! At some point in my life, I have worn pink & lavender or pink & green or lavender & green, but I can’t say that I have worn all three colors at once.

  • Cookiecrumb RE: If I were to choose black, I would choose vanta black. If I were to choose green, I would choose aston martin racing green. I like the colors of my favorite things. Chocolate, fire, snow, water, sky, earth, plants, steel, etc.

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. I googled vanta black and aston martin racing green which I hadn’t heard of before now. I think that I like vanta black too; aston martin racing green seems like a metallic emerald green. Liking the colors of favorite things is an interesting approach to evaluating color preferences.

  • Green_Eyes RE: Pink, purple and blue (in that order). I enjoyed reading everyone’s replies. Thanks for the post, @SincereGenuine.

Thanks for your reply! Sorry for the delayed reply. I think that pink, purple, and blue make a pretty trio of harmonizing colors. Likewise, I have enjoyed reading others’ color preferences.

  • @SincereGenuine Thanks for your reply! Sorry for my delayed answer. I have no answer for that.

  • Mela_B RE: Black

Thanks for your reply! Sorry about the delayed reply. Black is a classic, conservative, neutral goes with anything color.

  • Blue, violet, & black.

  • My favorite shows up when looking in my garage’s, lol.

  • Shake49 RE: Blue, violet, & black.

Thanks for your reply! When I think of blue, violet, black – those are three common colors of eyes. Once upon a time, I used to have blue & violet contacts. I liked the violet ones better than the blue; the purple ones looked good with my pigment & colors of clothes that I wore at the time. Also, they were unique to the extent that you usually don’t find people with purple eyes. As for the color black, I have never been in a physical confrontation so therefore, I never have had black eyes.

  • Waynewv RE: My favorite shows up when looking in my garage’s, lol.

Thanks for your reply! I appreciate the visual images accompanying your response that shows enthusiasm for the color that you chose! In particular, I like the blue hues shown in the first three photos (Dodge Ram, Tow Truck, Antique Ford Truck). Those hues are a kind of retro, dayglo, electric blue. Also, I have an appreciation for vintage cars/trucks too.

  • @SincereGenuine , thanks, my 2nd choice would have to be silver/grey, I’m just a plain old motor head. Lol

  • Waynewv RE: thanks, my 2nd choice would have to be silver/grey, I’m just a plain old motor head. Lol

Very nice! I like old Lincolns myself so I googled some body styles that I like in particular although they aren’t necessarily pictured in my favorite colors.

  • Anything on the purple/magenta spectrum + cobalt blue.

I had to look up the “bear fur is clear” thing. Apparently this is true of polar bears.

Thanks for your reply! I totally agree with you about anything on the purple/magenta spectrum, but I would probably broaden your answer slightly to say any color between flamingo/hot pink to eggplant/dark purple. Thanks for the polar bears fur link to clarify color clear! Any kind of fur reminds me of the arctic cold weather that I love which doesn't come around enough during winter time in Houston. I like arctic cold weather because it is ideal for wearing fur coats. Years ago, when I was in college, I used to own a muskrat fur coat with a raccoon fur collar, but with Houston weather as it is, I could only wear it a handful or two handfuls of time annually. However, I didn't mind paying the furrier to clean, glaze, and store the coat when it was out of season.
