OK, so we generally all feel pretty confident when we're dressed up fancy or in clothes we love, maybe a lil' make up, our hair is looking good, but when have you been surprised by how confident or pleased with yourself you feel? When have you bucked social expectations of what is 'attractive' and felt pretty darn good doing it?
This selfie sums it up for me- straight out of the shower, wet hair, pore strips, no make up, hay-fever/allergies making my eyes water, but I feel cute. I feel good about myself because I'm coming out of a depressive slump and I feel able to do more than just the bare minimum to maintain my sentient skin-suit. I actually care about what my skin looks like! That was pretty unfathomable a few weeks ago, so to me this signifies that hopefully I'm turning a corner and that things will start to become easier. To me this photo isn't a reflection of my physical appearance, but it represents my mental health taking an up-swing.
So, when have you felt confident about yourself lately?
