False Karma

I’ve been cuddling for only a few months now, and generally I feel safer with partners that have good karma on their profiles. However, recently I’ve been messaged by members I will refuse to have a session with because they immediately start asking if I’m “platonic or flexible”. I should be able to trust that their karma is real but I’m starting to suspect that people who give karma to these cuddlers are ones that are “flexible” with the platonic rule. I’m so tired of having potential partners message me wanting sexual favors or naked cuddles when they have karma on their profile saying how comfortable and sweet they were.

Does anyone else have this problem? And mods, if this is an inappropriate post then please let me know :)

I know there are cuddlers on here that don’t follow the platonic only rule. I’m not one of them, but I’m sure we all know they exist. At the very least, if they provide sexual favors or non-platonic services to a member… Can they at least not give them karma? It’s misleading to members that use the karma system to feel safer about the people they might be cuddling with! This has been my TED talk for today~ Please feel free to share thoughts :)

  • Hi @Xynthia, welcome to CC!

I'm so sorry you've been flooded with pervs lately. Try not to take it personally--many creeps target new pros hoping to take advantage of their inexperience. This will never totally go away, but it will subside once you build up karma and experience.

That said, I'd suggest not being so quick to blame other women for the bad behavior of these men. Just because a man said something inappropriate to you doesn't mean that they weren't perfect gentlemen when they met others. Guys act differently with different women depending on a lot of factors--age, experience, demeanor, mood... False karma certainly does happen for many reasons that you can find described all over the pros-only forum, but it isn't fair to assume that women intentionally mislead... Other women are not the reason that men behave badly.

Karma is just one in a vast toolkit of screening devices that you have. At best, it captures a single moment in time. Do not trust it exclusively to decide whom you're going to cuddle with.

Keep in mind too that dealing with inappropriate messages is just part of this job. If you let it wear on you, it will suck all of the joy out of pro cuddling. I'm honestly grateful for guys who will straight up ask for what they're looking for. It makes it SOOO much easier to screen them out. Those guys are not the clients you want--so much the better that you can eliminate them after a few messages. Best of luck to you!

  • I came here to say exactly that. I’ve had so many cuddlers that were absolutely amazing with me but then I hear they did insanely gross and sexual things with someone else. Definitely don’t look at it like the pro made a false karma. It could be anything. Just stay strong to your boundaries, do what you need to to weed out the pigs.

  • Yep there are pros here who give false karma and those who offer very lenient sessions. Occasionally clients will lie, occasionally pros will lie.

Weeding these guys and false karma out always starts with strict screening. I'm upfront about what I do and do not offer. I lose alot of potential cuddlers this way but these are people I don't want to take money from anyways so it's a win win. 🤗

As Sheena said stay strict with your boundaries before booking. Anyone wanting more than what you offer don't want to risk losing time/money for services they will not be receiving.

  • Massage therapists face some of the same problems with clients. I know for a fact that just because a client is appropriate with one person does not guarantee they will be the same with another. And just because a client was inappropriate with me does not mean they will be the same with someone else. It is, unfortunately, true that some pros will leave good karma for someone who was not so good. Sometimes that client may have been fine the first time or two and the pro left karma based on that and then later the client started getting weird.

One thing I learned over time was if something didn’t feel right, meet it head on. Those who are honorable will be respectful. Sometimes there is confused communication or someone inadvertently crosses our boundaries and those folks will be apologetic and accommodating. Those who may have been heading in the wrong direction have a chance to back down gracefully and they have been warned that you’re on to them.

  • I agree with Babichev and others some clients act differently. I had cuddled someone and everything went fine, they were respectful and I decided to leave a positive review after. Years later I was going through old clients and noticed on theirs they had a 1 star review that they were a no show and never paid and was rude. I never once experienced that but they did it anyway.
