@taminator Get a more interesting book. I find that if I don’t look forward to it, or can’t remember what I’m reading, it’s not interesting enough. Same with Netflix.

"Revenge" by James Patterson

I mainly read fantasy. Mistborn is the first part in a trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. I’m reading it through for a second time currently. A simplified/brief description is that it’s about a world where certain metals are able to give select people powers. However there are very rare people who are actually able to use all of the powers that the different metals can provide, and they’re called Mistborn. It’s a really interesting series. The second book was a bit slow for me, but the third is really great again.

@Gholdnor Well, the second era of Mistborn is very different than the first. Some people really like the changes, and some people less so. I fall into the less so camp.
But if there's one thing I've learned from reddit, no matter how good or bad you think a book is, there are a ton of people who think the opposite, so don't take my word for it
Anyone who enjoys medical history or a “How we got to here”, explanation will enjoy this fascinating history of Cancer.
@GreyingBear that’s a really great point, and it’s something I’m trying to do better about in general. Gaming is another great example. If I see a game that’s 60% positive on Steam, my instinct is to not pay much attention to it. I mean it’s obviously not as good as the games that have 95%+ overall positive ratings, right? When in reality that more represents the likelihood that I’ll like it and not necessarily the extent. Maybe the 60% that liked the game thought it was the greatest game they ever played, ya know? Reading is definitely another case where that’s important to keep in mind like you said ☺️
I just started this. It's been slow so far.
Just rented this from the library app and about 1/3 of the way through and it’s a very intriguing murder mystery. You hear from lots of different POV but you’re not sure how they all connect to the story yet. I love books where I can’t guess the ending!
