What gives you purpose …
I would love to be a published author, both fiction and non-fiction. I enjoy creating stories, and end up with boxes full of scribbled notes and outlines. However, I have a helluva time converting all those notes into fleshed out narrative and dialogue.
@Tom2019 i hope you become 1! We have a couple of published authors here with amazing material … this reminds me, I need to hit the nearest library or bookstore before the end of the week for that amazing escape
1) My daughter 2) My writing
@WriterGF 🌌 💙
I have two passions. The first is wildlife photography. The second is paddling my canoe in wilderness waters. Fortunately, it isn't difficult to engage in both passions at the same time.
I… I don’t have one. I feel directionless and hope I can find something before it’s too late.
@GreatHornedOwl pretty cool!, hopefully you share some of your photography with us 1 day.
@Charlie_Bear i understand and I could perfectly relate with that at one point in my life, … also, it doesn’t have to be something popular or complicated, it could be the simplest thing that will bring the biggest joy 🌌
@cuddles_ndream I certainly have things that bring me joy and that I love doing (like playing video games) but I also feel like that’s more of an escape. I guess I am more thinking of something where I create instead consume. I don’t have anything like that that I can think of.
@Charlie_Bear thanks for elaborating I get your perspective now.
Teaching and animals. ❤
I can't imagine my life without books. I get a lot out of watching people enjoy themselves.
Being a good citizen, even in small ways, gives me purpose and is satisfying. I can't do much now, but I will get an empty shopping cart out of the parking lot and push it back into the store. Or walk up and down my street and pick up litter. I don't usually take a convenient parking space cause I figure other people need it more than I do, stuff like that. I admire the author David Sedaris so much, not just cause he is so talented and funny, but because he also walks up and down the road (more than me) and picks up litter. I'm impressed by good citizenry.

So nice and refreshing that you think , and consider beyond yourself … says a lot! 💜 🌌 : )
@jenluvzscooby 💯 amazing!
@cuddles_ndream I knew you would have something good to say about the small difference I try to make It's so freaking awesome you are back, even if it's just while you have a little break from work.
Those little things add up @achetocuddle. Not to mention that warm and fuzzy feeling you get from doing something good for someone else. I'd say for me it's being in nature. Being around loved one's or like minded strangers is also a great comfort. Also cuddling, kinda obvious considering this platform.
@Nickoli Little things do add up and if that's all you can do that's all you can do. I'm too fortunate to have more free time than most not to try to be helpful. I don't how I forgot to say being in nature. That is super important to me. And there is nothing like having a good convo with a like-minded stranger.
I met a retired electrician who was a customer at Home Depot. He helped with light bulbs and then proceeded to tell me a lot of his life philosophy. I agreed with everything he said and said so. He high-fived me. That was a great day.
@Nickoli btw, nice profile pic and the pic with the person "roping" the heart and mind together is way cool.
@achetocuddle ty for having such an amazing light and being so wonderful, I truly appreciate it 🌌 🫂 ☺️
@cuddles_ndream I know this is hopelessly sappy, but thanks for rubbing the dirt and debris off my light so it could shine. And you know I don't know what that square emoji means. Lol.
@achetocuddle thanks again : )
And that square emoji is the night sky / or the universe full of stars / to me it just means everything … can’t believe you can’t see the emoji : (
for Christmas gonna get you either a brand new iPhone or a brand new Samsung (I used to be big on androids but its been years since I made the switch to iPhone, and if you have an iPhone I can walk you through everything and I promise I don’t mind … I know you turned down the offer for a chromebook before, but you better say yes to the iPhone ! I want you to see the emoji’s : )
@cuddles_ndream - Thanks for the interest. Actually, I have several in the Forum Nurture by Nature (A Daily getaway) , scattered on pages through 9.
Here are a couple of them.
Scuba Diving, my day job is in IT, I'm even halfway through being qualified to teach English, but nothing is quite so freeing, as being weightless, in a world so very different to what we normally experience.
It lets me escape day to day life, and truly feel free, even if only for a time.
@GreatHornedOwl thanks for the pics, love the bear pic 🐻 📸 will check that thread out 🍻
I'm a sports person, through and through. I have several side gigs that I work, and all revolve around sports, whether writing, photographing or announcing. I legitimately get withdrawals when I go too many days without being at a game somewhere.
Training dogs and making music. Without either of these, there would be no reason for me to exist
Poetry. Writing. Sculpting. So I guess I would say, the arts.
My cat Charlotte ❤️
@SitaRosee adorable as heck 💙
@Mela_B everything you mentioned is life for one of my sisters 🌌
