  • @MegaSnugglez I'm sorry my parents did that with my brother. I became his legal guardian at age 19. It's hard and rewarding. Some people aren't cut out for it. Hope you have a lovely day.

    That's exactly right. I've met people who were sold by their mum. Others who were beaten. Recently I worked with one who took zero interest in and clearly disliked her perfectly lovely son.

    It's actually one of the insidious little problems in our society: people who have great mums confusing their enormous good fortune with the norm. You have taken a step today towards fixing that.

    Tip for life: before talking about mothers or motherhood, always pause for a moment and remember the children who were tortured and murdered by the mum. And the orphans, like my dad, who never knew their mum and have no idea what it's like to have a mum, good or bad.
