Has anybody done sessions where they don’t touch, just talk?

  • @Melancholy Mine was more of a shy get to know you trying to find something we could do together while becoming acquainted. Jumanji was not it. Hahaha. I refuse to fall into a game. I don’t care how ridiculous that sounds. If it can happen to Robin Williams….

  • @stormydaycuddle yeah best to avoid interdimensional travel while on the clock

  • Sure. I do that with my therapist all the time.

  • @stormydaycuddle Hahah yea I'm with you there. UNO might be a better game...no risk of danger with that one.

  • Yes, it happens. Sometimes it's just more of a hangout and talk type of session. I haven't had one that was specifically no touch because they requested it though. It just happened that way because we were talking and hanging out instead.

I love just being a good support system in any way I can. It's their time, so whatever they want (in reason) obviously. 😁 🤗

  • I have. All we did was talk. It was a wonderful conversation and I didn't even let on that I was disappointed in any way, but I really needed to be held that day. I paid quite a bit too, which was my own doing. I don't regret the time, but I was disappointed.

  • I have had quite a few sessions where we mostly talked, just a few greeting hug and one upon parting.

  • YES! Someone wasn't quite ready for touch, but wanted connection and intimacy. Lots of eye gazing from about 6 inches away. Eventually, we got to physical touch a few sessions later. They had a LOT of trauma to wade through receiving touch from anyone, much less a woman. It was very healing for that client.

  • Yes! A beautiful session with a wonderful cuddlee who just needed someone different to speak to. We sat knee to knee (so I guess still a little touch) but he was ever so grateful at the end of the session. I very much understood that feeling of wanting to speak to someone who doesn’t know you for / from anything thing else, other that when you meet, so we got along very well.

I actually would totally recommend it if people are feeling uneasy at a first session, or to be honest any other time. Also it’s important to remember the power of eye contact is also one of the best things about a cuddle!

    S :)

  • Not for the whole experience yet, no, but one of my most memorable cuddles started out that way. She allowed me time to feel comfortable before the cuddling began. We simply laid next to each other & talked for the first half of the session. Our talk eventually led to me showing her some funny videos on YouTube. So later, when we finally did melt into a cuddle, there were these deep quiet moments where one of us would quote the vid & we'd start giggling.

Another awesome experience happened earlier this year. It ended in cuddles too, but that time I spent a whole day with a pair of lovely pros. The way their personalities bounced off each other was infectious. We spent most of the day eating, seeing a movie, & sharing laughs. They even brought a cheesecake with them that tasted absolutely heavenly. Both of them I consider to be cherished friends now.

To be honest, I think the waiting & getting comfortable/familiar with them enriched those experiences for the better. Made things so much easier to melt in their arms later. :)
