Bored and curious so here is my first fluff thread.
What would you do with $100,000 if it dropped into your lap tax free and legally. Would you spend it, invest it, cuddle every day?
I would buy a house.
I would book my favorite pro cuddler 5 days a week for the rest of the year. Then I would upgrade my camera. Then get new shocks for my car. Fix my broken kitchen. Pay to get my friend on disability a fumigator to finally get rid of her roaches problem.
@TNNative Cottage? Modern? Rural? Suburbia?
@Melancholy Your pros now adamantly wish for you to have a windfall.. lol
@tacpmurg a craftsman style cottage with a little bit of land for a small garden. 🥰
I would Honestly Invest it . I would invest into starting a trucking company buisness & buy two trucks .
@TNNative I like your style. Though I'd want more than a little land, I want a cow someday lol.
@Keirra_Jackson even with autonomous trucks coming?
@tacpmurg we had cows growing up. They we fun and trouble, lol.
Give some to charity, pay bills, invest the rest!
Hookers and coke.
What a weekend that would be! 😆
Take a pill in Ibiza
See how much I could spend at Disney World and more than likely donate a lot to RED to support the help in awareness and distribution of AIDS medication throughout the world.
I’m a pretty simple person and lead a pretty simple lifestyle so for me I would continue cuddling, grow my video game collection, go to the movies and actually buy a popcorn and some snacks which I would be able to afford now, go out to any fast food place and not order off the value menu anymore stuff like that
Payoff everything except the house, put a decent chunk on the house and take a trip, then go right back to work.
I've been thinking about this recently. First of all, philanthropy and helping those in need. Then, places on my travel bucket list: Japan, Bali, Malta, the Greek islands, Monaco, Thailand, India. Probably a cruise since I've never been on one. With $100k free, maybe a super-fancy Galapagos cruise. I'm overdue for some serious time off work (months in a row).
Oh my goodness! Celebrity cruises has a ship with an upper glass deck and eco friendly everything that heads to the Galapagos. I’ve been wanting to go but am scared of some of the wildlife. Go and take pictures!
Maybe im a horrible person but im actually surprised at all the philanthropy. I would consider it at $1,000,000 but only $100,000?
Cant take care of others if you aren't taking care of yourself first.
@tacpmurg I take care of myself with my regular income and savings - $100k for a job I didn't do feels right for philanthropy 🤷🏻♂️
@stormydaycuddle I was thinking of Celebrity Cruises! I know they have an amazing purpose-built ship for the Galapagos. I had a colleague who went on a Galapagos cruise recently, although I can't remember which cruise line. It's a very long series of flights to get there.
I’d take about 25k to pay some bills, and set aside some money for my daughters school. Another 25k for general house upgrades, maybe some new furniture. My next 25k set aside for when I have to buy another car, and the last 25k to my favorite cuddlers when I’m in their area over the next year or so 😊
Take a trip to Europe and invest the rest.
@tacpmurg I don't think you're a horrible person at all, but I'm not surprised by the philanthropy. Some good fortune lands in your lap, give 10% away it doesn't cost you anything. You wouldn't be any less happy with a surprise 90k than you would with a surprise 100k.
The perspicacious reader will have noticed that my plan (above) is arguably 100% philanthropy, supporting people (i.e. low-level drug dealers and sex workers) traditionally marginalised by society, and doing it in a manner that promotes self-esteem by offering that support through a work-based paradigm rather than a charity or 'handout' system.
Probably. 🙄
@CuddleDuncan Wouldn't that also be philogyny? Not that I am judging 😉
I like the plan outlined by @CuddleDuncan best. Be sure it's Coke Zero, man. But in reality, I would follow in the footsteps of @KaaGee: pay down my mortgage and go back to work. $100K is not life-changing. Now if I won $2B like in the last Powerball, then you'd see the freak in me come out.
I'm with @TNNative ! I'd be halfway to getting a decent house in the city, which is where I want to be. Then I can finally get a dog, which is the first thing on my checklist of things to do when I get my own house 😭
Invest half and spend half.
The spend half would be something ridiculous & silly like fly my friends I haven’t seen in years to somewhere fun on the Oregon coast for the weekend and do a scavenger hunt and other challenges with cash prizes for the winners. Perhaps I’m watching too many MrBeast videos. In which case I’m going to “invent” the other $50,000 in starting a YouTube channel.
Invest. Use the dividends as "mad money"
I'd eat it.
@cudbud64 I want to get a dog so much, but for a few reasons, $$ is the obstacle. And then I would love to take a road trip with my new furry best friend! I would want to travel and cuddle along the way. Cuddling for free as an enthusiast and meet all you cool Forum Posters!
I'd just throw it in my safe and continue living the same way.
Might buy myself some new shoes though... Daddy needs new shoes 😂
I would buy another airplane, I miss my C-172
Buy a house.
