Depends on the distance. At the point I'm struggling to carry someone, we've crossed from cuddles into the "work" zone lol

All jokes aside, the definition of cuddling is so expansive for many people here. It's been an eye-opening discussion on other boards 😊

I do sometimes give piggy back rides to cuddlers, or carry them over my shoulder, or a bridal carry. But I think it's a stretch to call this cuddling. To me it's more just a silly fun thing to do, not a cuddle position.

  • I have given piggy 🐷 back rides before but consider it another way to platonically bond outside of cuddling!

I think just about any form of platonic activity can fall under cuddling/companionship, it depends solely upon asking the people involved. For me, this would fall more under play or platonic activity rather than cuddling as an activity.... But could occur during a cuddling session.

Edit, clarification: there's cuddling, the verb, and cuddling as in a cuddling session, noun. I think perhaps when most people are using more expansive definitions they are thinking of activities that can occur during cuddling sessions that are platonic in nature and build that companionship and intimate trust bond, vs thinking literal cuddling the verb.

  • 💯Cuddling really is what you make of it

  • It certainly falls under the umbrella of physical touch, and would fill that bucket for someone, but I don't consider it cuddling, nope.

I personally wouldn't be comfortable taking a piggy back ride; I'm way too self-conscious about my weight. I would be far more likely to offer to try to give one. 😆 I have strong legs.

Nope. Not even going to attempt to have anyone carry me in any fashion.

My fat self would be too much for anyone but possibly @SuperManCuddles by his sheer size and strength or @waynewv with his tractor.

Now, if I trip and fall as I have been known to do I would certainly appreciate a hand getting back on my feet again.

@SunsetSnuggles lol - yes, I definitely trust my legs and general strength more than someone's ability to haul me around.

  • Does picking up an unconscious co-cuddler off the floor after they passed out and hit their head on the side of the night table count as cuddling?

(sorry for the very specific question, but it does happen)

  • @KYtransplant I definitely have more than enough strength to carry you! 💪🏿 I take my user name “SuperMan” very seriously! I have the super strength to match! 🦸🏿‍♂️
