Cuddles turned Love Connection?

  • I think it's entirely possible, including for pros, but it's the same slippery slope experienced in any professional-romantic dynamic, especially those where it's a practitioner-client dynamic. Ethics are a major concern so while it can be nice to fantasize sometimes about the Hollywood or Harlequin style romances that could develop, the reality is far more messy usually.

For pros, I know standard procedure is to immediately end the client dynamic if planning to see each other socially - and to try to avoid transference as much as possible it'd be even better if there's a cool off period. The power dynamic issues and stigma are likely to make it so that if it happens, we're unlikely to hear about it.

Maybe though some pros make a connection with each other? Or a pro with someone they never have as a client and just interact with as friends/pen pals? It's human nature to connect so who knows.

  • @cuddlefaery
😂😂😂 haha I’m afraid what I would scan as.

  • @Charlie_Bear I sense a “What Would You Scan As?” Thread coming on.

  • @FunCartel
Haha I bet the responses would be great (and hopefully nothing that would need mod intervention 😅)

I found love on this site and sadly have lost love. Just once. We didn’t go in expecting to connect so deeply with one another. We just did. We cuddled twice before I asked her out. I had never done that with a cuddle or had ever planned to. But you could feel the chemistry in the air. I addressed it and she confirmed it. It was organic. About as organic as a flower in spring.

It was magical…but very painful at the same time. I loved her, but sadly she wasn’t quite over her past relationship. That was my biggest heartbreak. I honestly thought she was my person…I loved her very much and I gave so much but she just wasn’t in a place to receive it. I wish I protected my heart more. I have no regrets in dating her tho. I learned a lot and grew a lot in the process.

She later went back to her ex. She’s still a pro cuddler to this day. I’ve met many great cuddlers, both pro and non pro so those I’ve cuddled don’t take offense. I will keep her anonymous. Again, no regrets. Only lessons tho the pain…is still very real

  • I've never cuddled,my first ever cuddle session is next week but I'd be lying if I said that this was something that didn't concern me..Cuddling can be very intimate and the lines can get blurry if both parties aren't careful.I think we'd be foolish to think people never hooked up,started dating/fell in love all because they met here.Even if that's not the reasons why they started cuddling on this site. Both parties need to understand when that starts to happen,we would need to take a break and maybe find another cuddle partner.Won't be easy but it probably would be for the best.

  • @jonnyquest I think, if the feelings were mutual and organic, that a conversation would need to happen between two adults and determine how they will proceed. I believe just severing ties and finding another cuddle partner does not address the fundamental issue—romantic feelings. If the two of you really feel that strongly about each other it needs to be addressed and either continued, moderated or ended. But if one of you says we need to find different partners then I would wonder if one of you has a problem with romantic attachment. That also needs to be addressed. So many directions this could go.

  • I’m just curious if there are any sweet stories about people finding love on here? ... I’m talking actually finding a romantic partner that you’ve fallen in love with because you met for cuddles first.

By the time @50statecuddlr and I actually met in person, I think we were both pretty sure we weren't meeting for merely a pre-cuddle date. But I feel safe in saying that both of us were on this site for the cuddles and the cuddles alone. I was definitely not looking for a relationship. I'd had zero other cuddle dates as a result of this site. I was incredibly touch-starved, and looking to catch up. (I'd been in a near-24/7 occupation for 9 years where platonic physical touching beyond a handshake or brief hug was discouraged.)

I've updated our thread (the linked one above). I'd be very interested to read that other couple's experience, too, if any part of it remains on the site.

Final answer: I can't say we fell in love because we met for cuddles first. We met on this site, and made a cuddle date. By the time we met for the date I think we both knew it was going to be differently significant than a platonic cuddle meet-up.

But we're definitely in love, and we definitely found each other here!

@emissary2ornj @50statecuddlr Thank you for sharing your beautiful story!

It’s amazing how the Universe brought you two together. ❤️

  • If it gets to that point we are having a cuddle wedding in a mattress firm

  • i met a girl on here that was looking for someone to cuddle, she was not a pro, we met for breakfast and then we cuddled, she was married and her bubby found out he kicked her out and divorced her, so we kept cuddling and dining and then going to the movies and going to the zoo and after about 2 weeks she told me she loved me, i wasnt there yet but 2 weeks after that i was now in love too, and i asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend she said yes, we dated for about 6 months on 2 different occasions, i bought her a puppy, we got engaged, sadly she left to see if she could find a better man one day, and to this day after 3 years of that day i still wait for the filipina from OC to come back to Corona if you ever read this letsyrc i miss you

  • I definitely found love on this website but more of a platonic friendship than anything , I feel really blessed to have met this person, because love comes in all shapes and is (most of the time )very unexpected .
