Why do some people brag about the karma reviews on their profile? Some people will text you then be like “check my karma and get back to me” I should get back to you on what exactly???
About how amazing they are because everyone says so! I guess. Or maybe to let you know that they're one of the good ones and not creepy, see? They have good karma! That's probably it.
And if you don't know, now you know,
I will usually say check out my profile, but I bet it’s just because there are way more men here than women so they are hoping the karma might be a measuring stick to let you know they have cuddled and take it seriously and can get good reviews from other cuddlers
Its like stars on a review. Its a way to market themselves. Part of the overall experience on this site.
Perhaps it's like a participation trophy? I dunno.
I read karma to see how safe someone is. If they have lots of good karma then I kinda feel like other pros have vetted them already
I’ve read good karma on people’s pages then personally message the pro, and it’s a different story. I don’t really trust it. I trust my gut more…
I usually use my intuition
@FLCuddleQueen really? How do they explain the good karma they left then?
@sage91436
Occasionally they are great 1st time clients warranting good karma. Followup sessions can be a different story. I was unaware that we could edit our karma for the first few months. If there's any false positives left floating out there by unbanned members I'm very upfront with any pros who reach out to me for a follow-up about my experience.
It's not uncommon for new pros to feel pressured to leave positive feedback by their clients.
Looking at the source and who left it can be a good indicator if the karma can be trusted. Revealing photos, attire, asking for tips in the form of gifts/donations on their profile is commonplace with SBs / SWs.
Karma can be a useful tool but I wouldn't rely on it alone for my screening.
Like anything else, if you’re really confident you don’t need to brag.
@FLCuddleQueen my first two cuddles had great karma, and were horrible. One was damn near assault before I left. I never go by Karma.. Heck, I only have one because no one leaves it.
@Court_ney there are people who don't read Karma in the first instance, and so there are rare occasions when directing them to it can be useful.
However, the tone of the message you cite conveys to me a sense of insecurity in the writer, being covered up with boastfulness and bravado. I would guess that in most of these cases the Karma is not particularly remarkable. Nonetheless the writer has convinced themselves that it is amazing, and that upon reading it you won't be able to arrange to cuddle them quickly enough. The subsequent cognitive dissonance when you don't primes at least some of them to be unpleasant.
Having said that, most of the men who message you are desperate for a cuddle and recognise that they have to make the most of any little competitive advantage that they have.
I never ask for karma, and I don't give discounts for it.
It turns out that flattery and omission is a useful tool, in any profession.
Reviews and critiques are, at best, someone’s memory of their feelings.
And there are people out there that like coffee, and Kenny G albums…
@Rezz After the editing period, if you experience changes with someone down the road, you can delete your Karma and leave an updated one (including a copy of the original, if you like).

I have had potential cuddlers boast about their karma and it’s usually to help mitigate the possible orange or red flags of their behavior or so it seems to me.
Cuddling, even tho it is platonic, is still intimate and individualized. I am much more concerned about a potential cuddling partner fits my personality than how much karma they have and what strangers have said about them.
I can see where the karma or a review of some sort would be of great benefit but not in its current format
I haven’t been reading Karma lately but I take note if someone has it and how many. They all say about the same generic thing. I just note that Karma proves the person has experience on the site. They give a little reassurance but not much to trust.
And the OP is banned...
gasp Say it ain't so!
Did the banned OP at least have some decent karma? I never checked.
@TxTom I forgot to look, it was too quick. 😂🤣
I know some cuddlers have been bad actors that previously had all positive karma, so I don’t tell people to look only at my karma. But it’s nice to have good karma, not a bad thing, so it’s not surprising if someone is proud of it.
_Welcome to CC, where the points don't matter. _ - Drew Carey, probably
Like reddit karma, take CC karma with a grain of salt.
I don’t think I’ve ever said check out my karma, but most recently the karma that was left for me a few of the men said please respect Kim she is Here for the right reasons. So I do hope they check it out so they know that I am a nurturing wholesome cuddler. Because I’m not looking for anything else. So I do hope they check out my karma
Perhaps karma should be a "blind" rating?
Profile owner only sees an average karma rating on their profile after three scheduled sessions have been completed, but wouldn't be able to tell who gave what kind of karma. Only admin/etc sees the actual karma rating and description from each individual user. This average karma rating updates with every three completed sessions.
This would provide more honest karma, I would think, because individual karma given is anonymous and averaged in with other karma, I would think there wouldn't be as much pressure to always leave 5 stars.
I know nothing of web development, so perhaps this isn't a feasible idea.
Or perhaps it's just not a good idea.
@TxTom splitting karma comments off from the stars system might be a better way. Since leaving karma isn't currently required, waiting until 3 accumulate could pose numerous legal problems for CC, along the lines of, "they had the information, but it wasn't posted for others to see." A no-show is one thing, but an undisclosed safety issue making the news could bring the site down.
@AllAboutSoul Yes, I see what you're saying. I'm just not sure about the legal side, though. I mean, is karma being left after every bad experience now?
Nope, but if it is left, it needs to be immediately available.
