I'm a non-pro woman on this site, and here's what I look for in a first message.

  • But R u available now? 🥷

  • @IndigoAura ~ 1st before I forget, that is a beautiful name. 2nd, I appreciate your post. I think you designed it for men who may have troubled understanding how to communicate effectively. Providing examples could help them see where they may stack up. A lot of Pros seems to be a bit opposing to your message, but I'm not sure it was designed for them. Most Pros don't have to be vulnerable when it comes to breaking the ice and starting a dialog, so I think their opinions are moot in this situation.

I think men who actually care about being better will take your information and try harder and men that really don't care probably stopped reading after 10 or 15 seconds anyway. So don't be discouraged in your attempt to make the world a better place. Not everyone has been taught great communication skills. 🩵

  • This post about men and communication reminded of this clip -

  • I always love when the female 'pros' aren't doing this for the money yet they are charging money. Lol. My advice is to find a good enthusiast which are rare on this site presumably because it does not cost anything or take any training for women to advertise as 'pros' on this site.

  • @Maverick07 🤣😂 that's great!

  • Thank you for the advice @IndigoAura. Normal social interactions that come naturally to so many others have always been a struggle for me, and I'm always open to suggestions as to how to improve these skills.

@Rocket_Man i do it so I don’t have to work a 9-5. Am I doing it for money? Yep!

Do I care about the community?
    Also, yep. The recent meetup…

    No one charged

and it was a beautiful time hanging out with everyone. It was nearly a full week with friends from this site. I was on break from being a pro but going back and decided to continue my break until the following Monday and not profit on the people in town for the meet. So the all pros are solely about money bit doesn’t exactly stand.

There were four of us hanging out without profiting.

@stormydaycuddle - I get irritated when people complain about pros being here since they can easily filter them from the search results. If it wasn't for you and other the pros, I most likely wouldn't be getting cuddles at all.

This site has worked better for me than any therapist. Sometimes all I need is a hug.

  • @IndigoAura I totally get what you're saying, but I recently had a friend point out to me that on the "How it works" page, it literally says,_> "You send them a message but you won't need to worry about how to word it - they already get it. They're here for the same reason you are; to cuddle and nothing more." _

It helped me better understand their confusion and annoyed attitude when they were disregarded or lectured. And I try to be just as kind with others who are new.

  • @Mike403 glad you’re in my area! 🤗

  • Thank you, @IndigoAura, for putting this out there. If more folks on here took your advice, I'm sure more people would be cuddling! As a pro, I'm most likely to respond to a message if I can tell someone has read my profile, respects my boundaries, and has put in at least a little effort to make sure we're compatible.

@AllAboutSoul I agree that the phrase, "You send them a message but you won't need to worry about how to word it..." might be problematic. I didn't think much of it when I first joined because I assumed they were just referring to the fact that we already understand that folks are here for platonic cuddles. However, people need to understand that we're still human beings and not just cuddle dispensers. This is a risky business and most women will only meet up with those who have given some reassurance that they're safe, sane, and respectful. A message like, "heyyy u free tonite?" is simply not going to work, but for some reason, we still receive a lot of them.

  • @bekah_cuddles - Especially with the amount of guys who think this is a cover for SW, it is important for them to word their intro messages so you can be more confident that they are here for the right reasons.

  • You are absolutely right about the self perpetuating cycle. That's exactly what ends up happening on many apps and sites

  • @bekah_cuddles yep, we receive them because they're encouraged to the general public as "don't worry about wording."

  • @AllAboutSoul - I think they're expecting people to not act like a creep in their messaging. Cuddling strangers is an unusual activity which is normalized on this site. I think that's what they were trying to get at.

  • @Mike403 Lolol that's some wishful expectations!

  • @AllAboutSoul - It's very disappointing that there are so many guys trying to ruin a good thing. Just receiving an embrace from somebody is the greatest feeling in the world. There are plenty of other sites to go to if they want a sexual experience.

@stormydaycuddle I was curious and checked out your profile. The impression I have is that you are only charging just enough to allow you to keep helping others. Thank you for your service.

  • So strange that Hoodstar called @CuddleDuncan a liar. Doesn't matter that I think Duncan is one of the most honest people here; I just don't understand why Hood wanted to call him a liar. He would have no way to know. What was the point? So many forum posts I don't understand.

@IndigoAura Glad you started this thread. I like your username too.

  • @achetocuddle - He's a troll that kept coming back under different user names when banned.

  • Thanks, @Mike403. It kinda scares me how many people like to be mean. Totally incomprehensible.

  • @achetocuddle the person you are talking about is somebody who has spent some time on the forum and has taken an intense dislike to me. They created a number of sock puppet accounts (which is against the terms of service) so that they could post abusive posts about me without their real account being banned.

They are perfectly well aware that their posts are completely untrue, they are just trying to be horrible to me. Presumably it makes them feel better in some way. I can't condone their behaviour because it's dishonest and disruptive to the forum, and we don't want to see it repeated, but I almost hope it did make them feel better. I do hope that something made them feel better.

  • Thanks for telling me @CuddleDuncan. And I know what you mean about almost hoping they feel better. Sometimes when people are deliberately bad to me I really do wish they would feel better. If they felt better it would benefit both of us. Even if I got no benefit I would still like it. It's so sad how many disturbed/troubled people are here. I have a few mental/emotional troubles but nothing like what I've seen here. So thankful.

  • Personally, the opening message written by AI that CharlesInWi posted set off red flags to me. It sounded like a player to me so I wouldn't reply to it.

  • @trialbyfire ty. It’s a fun job.

  • You have WAYYYYYY too much time on your hands to write ALL of that…..

  • I've done this and followed @CuddleDuncan advice and had some success. Takes patience and a good attitude.

  • Sure a good message would be nice from us seeking a session but don't forget we have the money so if all you want is proper messages then say so I and probably most others will just find someone else. And as someone else pointed out regardless of the message we still get ignored. A lot of you so call cuddlers are rude and disrespectful.

  • @timeman - You're not owed anything. No response means not interested. Got it? Some of them get so many messages that it wouldn't make sense to craft a reply to every single one. Most of them don't need nor want 30 cuddle buddies.
