  • Warning. This one makes people cry. Brilliant.

  • I think this was an amazing ad campaign for the Xbox 360.

  • @Charlie_Bear - This thread is supposed to be best commercials. Not cringiest commercials. :p

  • And those were allways dangerous to watch with the wife or the girlfriend sitting next to you =)

  • It was the best ad that Microsoft could have hoped for 😂

But yea you are right 😅

  • @Charlie_Bear

First, I don’t understand this ad.
    Second, it’s for a Playstation 2.

    Is this irony?

    @MonkeyNeedsAHug
If the ad makes sense, I don’t understand it 😅 I think it was a great ad for the Xbox 360 because who would want to buy a PS3 after seeing that? Lol

He made a few of these PSAs as part of a plea deal.

  • This is the 30-second version of this commercial. The 15-second version is still being shown. PS I hate Pringles but love this commercial.

The best (as in most effective) commercials I've ever seen are the completely traumatizing, overly gruesomely realistic road safety ads by the Road Safety Authority in Ireland during the early 00s. They absolutely have to carry heavy trigger and content warnings these days, but damned if they aren't effective. They've toned them down quite a bit the past decade, but you can find the entire series from the 90s til now on YouTube.

Watch at your own risk, and perhaps share with a teen or young adult if you feel the need to scare them into safer driving.....

Trigger/content warnings: blood, death, massive casualties, intense grief, drugs and weapons, death and injuries to children

The first one I saw, forever burned into brain as a 20 year old living abroad and seeing something so plainly shocking as an ad on national mainstream TV for the first time. Covers speeding.

Equally gruesome, covers drinking and driving

Another speeding one, slightly less bloody but still horrific.

Staying focused, eyes on road. More haunting.

Back to being gruesome, about wearing a seatbelt.

Honestly, if they made the whole series required watching for DUIs and reckless driving in the US, I bet rates would plummet.

  • Those last commercials remind me of the old blood on the highway driver’s ed commercials from 1959 in later on

  • This one isn’t a commercial for a product so much as a promo that MTV would run between music videos

  • God they do it so much better in Europe it's not even funny.

  • Here is another one. Virgin Atlantic

  • This one also on brand for me

  • @timbear50 that’s hilarious and creepy. 😂🤣
@Sooson Heineken has great ads. 😄

  • @AllAboutSoul I know right? That panda needs to sell cheese…

  • @timbear50 Stephen King called, he’s found his newest IT character.

  • The trunk monkey ads were an instant classic. Not sure I'm posting the URL correctly but here goes.

  • HARIBO gummy bears.

    Got milk?

  • Pilot jumps for the beer:

  • This is actually the best commercial ever

  • Planet Fitness commercials are kind of hilarious in their own way. They call themselves a "judgement free zone" yet they portray body builders as brain dead morons.
