Legally, stalking is defined as one or more unwanted contacts after explicit communication is made that contact is undesired. Since we’re not talking law, really, I believe I might actually feel flattered if someone repeatedly visited my profile. This is likely because I don’t get much attention on CC.
On the flip side, given then quantity of complaints from women I’ve seen in threads about being inundated with superficial/insincere messages, and being worried that men are more focused on the possibility of cuddling leading to sexual activity, I can definitely see how frequent profile visitation from any one person could be irritating, or even interpreted as stalking.

@Mike403 It's not boring, I actually like seeing a guy share what he's interested in. I'm glad going to class makes you happy. My only suggestion is a technical one...you mention being with your company for 23 years. This means you'll have to update your profile every year. To avoid this, you could just say, "since 2000". 😊

@cuddlefaery mmm, maybe define who you think is worthy of being scared of being stalked and who is not a little more clearly next time? Save confusion… nuanced language or not… your further explanation still seems to be putting a limit on other people’s emotions in quite a determined way. A way that could deter people who feel unsafe from taking actions to protect themselves.
@stormydaycuddle @cuddlefaery - It's a red flag that they could be a stalker especially if the conditions that was provided exist such as no profile bio nor photo and aren't active in the community.

A member visiting your profile is not harassment. Simply viewing another member's profile once or twice is not cause to report someone for harassment. Someone repeatedly viewing your profile yet never messaging you is creepy though.

Funny thing I’m not against multiple profile visits. I’m against the judgement.

Update: I was told I made the right call.
@Mike403 Just for the record, I've met guys in person who had no profile picture and/or very little in their bio who were lovely and respectful. People have many reasons for not sharing, in, as this thread clearly signifies, a very public space.
While I certainly prefer a thoughtful and filled-out bio, I don't automatically see the lack of one as a red flag...more it just means they really have to say something to intrigue me, because they've chosen to have nothing else going for them.
@stormydaycuddle I definitely agree there. I personally do not think the use of the word stalking is the same as the other words/phrases mentioned.
@stormydaycuddle - Oh I understand completely if somebody is feeling uncomfortable. I just don't like these words being thrown around when they originally meant something entirely else. Such as not responding to a strangers first message isn't ghosting.

wince I wonder if everyone thinks I have ghosted them. I feel so overwhelmed by PM's...I basically have the message board here as my homepage so I'm "online" every time I open Chrome, but I find it far less intimidating to tap out a quick response on a thread than to tackle my inbox. This is why I've put a note at the very top of my profile letting people know I'll eventually get back with them... I swear I'm not trying to ghost anyone! 👻🥴
@Mike403 see and that’s the thing. How else could they be interpreted? When someone says someone else is a stalker what else do they mean aside from their own view of the situation? Other people don’t get to define that for you.
