About me

My best friends would describe, and have described, me as a little off-beat or quirky, funny, curious, intelligent, kind, easy to be around, creative, and insightful. Or these might all be just things I’d say about myself, and wished my friends would say them.

Some people might also say I’m inconsistent. Actually, some people do say that. I have ADHD, and rather enjoy many aspects of it, but I keep it tamped down for the benefit of my loved ones. I have eclectic tastes and interests, and most of them are constructive. I earned a PhD in Romance languages and literature and became a professor. Years later, I left the profession to travel and work abroad. After teaching high school for a few years, I switched careers again to software engineering, which is what I do now.

I’m an avid reader, love creativity that defies my expectations or challenges my norms, but don’t typically get along with people who take themselves too seriously. Life’s too short for that. You can still get your shit done and be silly.

I’d like to find a cuddle friend. Platonic physical and emotional intimacy. Hold you close, feel the warmth, and not be able to stop smiling. I would enjoy reading a message from you. Don’t be shy about it.
