I know that wasn't an option but there are times living and working by myself that I just feel like reaching out across the distance somewhere.
I go through spells of not being on for several days/weeks at a time.
Heck, I can go only speaking to one or two individuals and my animals for a week or more.
Engaging on my very private social media and texting with close friends and family is sometimes all the 'peopleing' I can do at times.
I have gone quiet there as well and it concerns my friends when they think I have shut down/ introverted too long.
They aways worry that something will happen to me and no one will find me for days.

For me, I’m not going to argue. I view this as a discussion board. I’ll put my thoughts, and discuss. This is how I am in real life too. If it’s a topic I really don’t care about, I probably won’t comment at all. I do like reading the discussions/arguments though. Ex: (The recent robot post…the thing that came to my mind was why they can’t climb ladders at a construction site. Doing flips and such, not safe at a real construction site. But I really didn’t care to post that.) 🤣

Seriously though, I refrain from commenting on certain subjects I actually do care about just because I’ve been around here long enough to know which smoldering threads are like to burst into full fledged dumpster fires and I don’t like inhaling toxic fumes.

@stormydaycuddle I voted no. If I don’t care about the topic, I usually don’t respond or if the answers there are an alignment of what I believe. I definitely enjoy reading the forums

@stormydaycuddle I made a lengthy and serious comment on the other topic too. I made this comment as kind of a joke. I appreciate your comment. I actually am a nice person and have had some nice chat interactions with people. Grateful for the pros. My only actual cuddles so far have been with them.
@quixotic_life Conflicted is a nice word for it. Kind of like driving by an accident scene on the highway and rubbernecking and wondering who is under the white sheet, except here that would be who is under the red x.

It asked if you were so addicted "**that you clicked on a thread and argued about a topic that you don't care about?" ** Yes, I'm addicted. NO I don't click on threads and argue about something I don't care about.

Forums are a good palette cleanser to life. It's a nice excuse to interact with people. I won't put extra energy in though. Especially if I don't care about a topic.
