I was naturally left handed but was forced to become right handed in preschool. I learned later in life that it never actually leaves you.

I read about a guy who played the saxophone while getting brain surgery. He did it so that the surgery wouldn’t affect his ability to play.
However, the surgeon mentioned that since the guy was left handed, he had a more complex brain structure, and some other brain surgeon jargon.
So, yes, the stereotypes about lefties are right.

Diagnosed with combined type ADHD as a child. Surprised that happened considering I’m a girl, and you know how overlooked women and girls are when it comes to that stuff! I also suspect autism, as both of those things run in the family.

I'm surprised nobody has said they are cross-dominant. I certainly am. When I was in pre-school and kindergarten teachers reported it to my parents like it was some sort of problem. I write, throw things, play guitar, and do a lot of other things that I can't think of at the moment right handed. However I bat/play golf or hockey (basically swinging two handed things, although I had to learn kendo right handed which felt awkward at first), drive (if with one hand), brush my teeth, brush my hair, blow my nose, and do some other things left handed.
I have to credit my younger brother for teaching me that I am not in fact ambidextrous, but rather cross-dominant as I had never heard the word before he told me years ago. To be ambidextrous means to have equal skill and dexterity in both hands or sides of the body apparently, while cross dominance means favoring different sides or limbs for different tasks.
So I'm a partial lefty lol
Edit: Forgot to mention that said brother is also cross-dominant, though he bowls left handed while I bowl right handed. Also my grandpa is a full on lefty.

My son is left handed and so is my mom although my mom does most stuff with right hand (other than eat)because in the old country if you were left handed teachers/parents would correct you usually by hitting your hand with a stick until you trained yourself to use your right hand.
