Music or no music while cuddling 💕

Comments

  • I like music as long as it’s instrumental. Otherwise, sometimes it will take my mind away from the person I’m with.

  • @Bear exactly.

Also, I see on a lot of profiles the mention of watching tv during cuddles. IMO watching tv takes the cuddlers’ attention away from one another and changes the focus to an outside factor. But yeah, softer mood music if some nature is the way …

  • When I’m cuddling with a pro, I concentrate on, just cuddling. If I had someone to watch TV with a Cuddle on a regular basis, I probably wouldn’t need a pro so much.

I've only cuddled with either silence or meditation music, and that's the way I'd prefer it tbh. Not sure cuddling with like Metallica or FFDP would work 😂 Worth a try though maybe?

  • Honestly, Music cuddles are so fun, but then again I don't mind cuddling with music or no music, show or no, convo or silence :)

  • Both though I actually find myself tuning so deeply into my conversation and cuddle buddy that I forget the music is even playing 🤷‍♀️

  • I love music. Any music too, I'm not picky. But lofi chill stuff helps me really get into the groove with focusing on the good energy flow and helping my cuddler be most relaxed and release all their stress and worries. 💜

  • Some soft or chill music in the background is great, but not a deal breaker!

Can anyone recommend some artists or groups that would be a good resource for cuddle music?
I have found Enya has lots of music that is mellow enough for cuddling, but not so mellow that it is elevator music.
    Other suggestions?

  • I like music in the background, but, it’s not a deal breaker. Not a big fan of having the tv on.

@CSnMUS87 posted a link to a Playlist back in June, and if I knew how to link to a thread I would , but I don't, so I copied the Playlist link...

  • Quiet is good, but if there is music on, I’ve usually tuned it out.

  • Music & cuddles are the best 🎶 🫂

  • I had the absolute best session cuddled up on a couch watching NF music videos a few days ago. I would do that again in a heartbeat.

  • Definitely no music. It's very distracting and covers up sounds you want to hear, like your cuddlebuddies breathing.

Having said that, I have cuddled with background music of the meditation type and it's not a big deal. Real music is definitely a problem, I've tried it a few times and it never works out.

But that's because I'm doing cuddling. If you're doing things the other way around - for example watching the telly, then of course that's different. You can cuddle while you're watching TV: but you can't watch TV while you're cuddling.

Definitely, yes to music. A good song selection can help enhance the cuddling experience. You don’t want to have too much awkward silence and sometimes when a good song comes on, and your partner is kind of singing along to it I’ll tell you from experience you’re going to earn bonus points in the form of helping your partner feel a little bit more relaxed and comfortable. Just remember that the music is meant as a background enhancement it is not meant to overpower the cuddle experience.

  • I definitely prefer music when cuddling. My first few cuddles were without music, but still very nice because of good conversation, but then I cuddled with a great host who put on some really great music and now I always ask if music is okay when cuddling. It just really puts you in the mood. Except for country music. Please 🙏 no country music 😂😂

  • I cuddle with music in part to eliminate the distraction of other noises (this is especially common in cities and apartment complexes, for example). I usually listen to an instrumental soft jazz playlist.
