A series about you

I love asking this question to new friends because it gives me a sense of how they view themselves and their life.

If you were to make a Netflix series about your life what would you call it and who would play you?
No "I'll play myself" that's no fun. What actor/actress do you think would pull off a good you?

For me;
Simply Complex
Starring Paul Rudd as Jova

    Oh I like this!

Mine would probably be a comedy called "Oh Now What!?!" 🤣
And definitely starring Matthew Lewis (Neville from Harry Potter)

  • @DaveTheBrit
Lol I do see a resemblance.
Nothing like a British comedy right? Lol

  • Jennifer Aniston immediately came to mind. Probably just because I love her. I’ll have to think about what it would be called though.

I'd say A Series of Unfortunate Events - but that title is already taken, lol How about a Series of REALLY Unfortunate Events? When I was younger, I'd go with Alanis Morrissette to play me. Most recently, I've been told I look like Kristen Schaal, so I guess she can play me.

  • @CuddleHugs01234
Jennifer Aniston is just so wholesomely beautiful.
I'm full of anticipation for the name of your series
    😁

  • @Concordiaesque
    Aww not REALLY unfortunate events?
    And Louise from Bob's Burgers??
    She is the best!!!
    ❤️

  • I mumble or gasp “wtf” several times a day, so that would probably be the title. Or, “becoming”.
I think I’d make a great me, and I don’t know of any quirky enough actresses who could pull me off.

  • @INurturePeace
Becoming is a very intriguing title.
And the only actress I know that gasps a lot is Kristen Stewart. Lol

  • eeekkkk!

    Helen Bonham Carter

  • No one says eeeeek like HBC

  • in my best movie guy voice
    Coming this fall....Eeekkkk!
    @stormydaycuddle

  • Great idea for a thread @Jova114 !

Unfortunately development didn’t like my pilot so no series.

  • @BoomerSpooner Thank you my friend!

    Nooooo I'll fund it! Lol
What's the series and who's in it?

  • Michael Anthony Hall. I want to see him in a long red wig in the worst way. :)

It would be called, “Finding Your Way By Losing Your Mind.” It would center around the seeming contradiction that intense psychedelic experiences helps affect real change in a person like choosing to become sober, ending anxiety and releasing you from depression.

    “How to Survive Dying”

My show would never be made, and there really aren’t professional actors that represent people like me.

I guess Richard Moll. (I am happy to hear I was mistaken about his passing… Thanks for the PMs correcting my mistake! Also, always shocks me that anyone reads my responses.)

Or Richard Kiel, who sadly passed away.

  • Richard Moll is still alive.

I am quite sure @pmvines would have a series called “PM Vines, PI (poop investigator)” solving crimes through forensic poop analysis.

The late Phillip Seymour Hoffman could bring the needed gravitas to the role:

  • @CharlesInWI I always read your posts and a lot of others; I just don’t respond to a lot of posts. I wish the forums had a react feature because I find myself just thinking, “yup” but I don’t want to just post, “yup.” Because that feels weird in a forum.

  • @Syins
    Sounds binge worthy!

    @CharlesInWI
    I always read your posts!
    And I LOVE that title!!

  • @BoomerSpooner
I 2nd this motion that @pmvines should have a Poop Investigator series

Has anyone ever seen a show they wish was their experience? I saw Being Erica and it helped me understand all the times in my life I wish I could go back and re-do wouldn't ever end up the way I hoped they would anyway. I'd still love to go back and re-do a lot of things to see how different my life might be now.

  • @Concordiaesque
I haven't seen that but totally understand wanting to go back and re-do things.
I've learned though that I am very blessed and wouldn't want to change what I have now

    :3 I love that for you @Jova114 <3

  • Thank you so much @Concordiaesque 🤗

I use to say that having friends is like panning for gold.
Time is the sifter and after awhile you see who is actual gold and who is just a lump of sand.
I'm blessed to say I have some real pieces of gold in my life

  • A few years back, I asked someone who would play me in a movie about my life. Without even hesitating for a second, she replied, "Kevin James." She had obviously thought about this before.

  • @Finnegan2017
Lol sometimes we just remind people of certain celebs.
I asked my friend this question awhile ago and he said "Johnny Depp" what I asked why he replied "because he'd be willing to lose weight to play you"
    I am/was always very skinny.
It depressed me a bit because I was focusing more on my personality and he focused more on my looks

  • @Jova114
Exactly why I wasn't thrilled about the answer I got...
