Professional Cuddler Tipping

What’s a decent amount to tip a pro cuddler for a session?

  • You don’t have to tip at all! So if it’s something you want to do, it’s whatever you’re comfortable with. There’s no set amount because tipping isn’t something anyone should feel pressured to do! So even when I get tipped $5, I’m grateful considering it’s not something to be expected. 👍🏻

  • I USUALLY TIP EITHER 10, 35 OR 25PERCENT DEPENDING ON HOEW SATISFIRED WITH THE SESSION.

Yes!! @Sheena123 Super appreciated....no matter the amount ❤️ But not expected or necessary if you cannot or do not. ☺️☺️

  • Depends on which country you are in. Here in the UK it would be strange if not creepy to offer a tip and a significant minority (at least) of professionals would be genuinely offended, if only slightly.

My understanding of the situation in the USA is that tipping is absolutely not expected, but is usually appreciated.

If you would like to give something extra, some experienced professionals have an informal "pay it forward" scheme where they use donations from clients to subsidise sessions with those who cannot afford them. These often go to existing clients who always struggled to find the funds for cuddling, and who have fallen on even harder times.

Given the difficulties the industry faces from creeps, sex workers and their clients, any offer of anything beyond the agreed price is a delicate matter and should be approached thoughtfully, to avoid any risk of misinterpretation.

  • @CuddleDuncan As always, very thoughtful and balanced response. I appreciate you sir.

  • I’ve had clients tip me in homemade pizza & cookies. 🙃 I’ve seen most that receive tips as 15% in the states.

  • I typically assume that a Pros listed rate is fully inclusive of any income they're looking to make, but I will do things like bring some food over since most of my cuddles are in the evening so they don't have to worry about dinner during that time, stuff like that. I think its appreciated.

  • I'm in the US, and I do not expect tips. It's very thoughtful to ask, though. 😊
When I have been tipped it was a very generous 30%! 😳 I would be very happy with food! 🤣 But for me, tipping is not expected.

  • This is an often debated topic (not for cuddlers specifically, but for a variety of service professionals) and my opinion may be controversial. But here it is. I generally don't tip people who (1) work for themselves; and therefore (2) set their own prices.

My feeling is that tipping should be reserved for underpaid professions (such as waiters and bartenders) who wouldn't make a reasonable living without tips, and who have no control over their own wages.

Professional cuddlers don't fall into that category, so I can't say I've ever tipped one.

  • I would consider it an honor to be tipped cheesy dad jokes and advice for better poops

  • I've had a few cuddlers tip me and while it's never expected it's definitely appreciated. It's usually just a little extra to help make up for the 15%.

It's always nice when a cuddler spoils me with food though 😳

  • I usually tip a little to offset the 15%, and a Kit Kat bar as well.😁

  • While tips of any amount are always appreciated they are definitely not expected. As @WiserGuy3000 said, pro cuddlers set their own rates and work for themselves so it's a different situation to tipping service professionals such as restaurant staff who potentially have very low wages and rely on tips to make up their income.

  • I’ve done professional cuddler tipping. Got drunk once and my friends and I found a field of pros and started tipping them over. Great fun!

Although tipping is not required for my sessions or in the US, I’m very grateful for the tips I’ve received. My clients are super sweet and generous, and I truly don’t expect any tips. I love what I do, so an added tip is a bonus ☺️

  • I usually tip 10% or else order in food and if late get them a car home. I have cuddled some from the UK and Europe they certainly would not be offended if offered a tip. I have given tips to UK cuddler and they are happy, who wouldn’t appreciate a tip. They have said they love American cuddles since we tip more often. And they have been tipped by some in their home countries but it’s rare. I feel if you have had a nice session a tip would be a great way to show them :-).

In my experience - as a new cuddler with a limited client roster - I receive tips from about half of my cuddle sessions. Usually the client pays my stated rate at the start of the session and then tips me afterwards. I’ve also received tips at the start of the session with the session fee. I attribute the tipping to being flexible and available for session requests that others may not accommodate (late-night sessions, last-minute bookings.)

As a consumer, I always tip individuals providing services. This includes those that are self-employed and set their own fees (e.g. handyman, babysitters.) I tip to express my appreciation in a tangible way (especially if they fit me in last minute and did a great job.) I also tip - selfishly - so they like me and prioritize me in the future above other clients.

I tip them, but only when they're not awake. You should see their face when they fall over and wake up from the impact ...

I give a polite tip when there's a good session. Why not. I tip masseuses and waiters and mechanics. Just shows a little appreciation.

  • @Minestrone101 You tip mechanics? Dem mo'fo's are already ripping me off, yikes! 🫣🔧🚙

  • @SunsetSnuggles I have the most honest mechanic. I tip them and I buy them lunch or dinner every time!

  • I once went somewhere closer and paid like $600 for alignment and something else. Car still swerved and nothing changed. lol I'll never go to another. lol

  • @Minestrone101 Good talk, be there in ten (hours); I need new brakes, an oil change, and a rattle diagnostic. 😆

  • @SunsetSnuggles Not gonna lie. if you ever make your way down there, go to the Giant Artichoke, get deep fried artichokes not from the restaurant but the market that's adjoining and it'll change your life ! those suckers melt right in your mouth. So fresh and delicious . Probably the best deep fried treats I've ever had.

  • @Minestrone101 I'm suspicious, but will endeavor to believe you. 😁
