Hi all, I had hidden a number of threads that were created in quick succession since they were created by a member that had been banned multiple times before, just in case you were wondering why you can’t see them. Sorry for the confusion.

@Rockyhehe I don’t think @CharlieBear intention was to shame anyone. This individual wasn’t following the rules and was trolling. Cc is about creating a safe place for everyone overall.

@Rockyhehe it's not wrong or shaming or unprofessional about mods saying the person was previously banned. A banned member trolling is dangerous to the community.
The dude opened like 17 threads in 2 hours which people shouldn't do anyways banned or not trolling or not.
And @CharlieBear is just ok. Nothing special

@Bear Haha thank you. I just assumed it would be weird for those that were engaging in forum topics to suddenly see them all vanish. I am trying to help people know when I do forum moderation that is normally not visible to provide some context as to why something happened.

You and I had this discussion recently and I personally don’t necessarily mind banned profile threads “vanishing “. It’s the threads from members who are in good standing that say something outrageous in my opinion and somehow they get “saved “ by the thread vanishing. Obviously I can’t go into specifics by calling out members here , but it just seems to happen more often. On some platforms I visit they just make the post super light as in almost unreadable but you can still see it. I always liked that idea myself 🤔

Yup, rule testing, bending, and breaking gets overlooked for some of the OG's, repeatedly. Gotta love the good ole boys system.

@TxTom - They're volunteers. I wouldn't commit to a scheduled time for something I wasn't being paid for. Some people like to help out when there is nothing else going on in their life at the moment.

I would love an example. I can't recall a time we have discussed a thread internally and made a decision on that basis.
I know very recently that a particular thread we deleted was seemingly created by a well known member with a bunch of surprising confessions. However, that was posted by a fake account designed to look like the real account. They were banned and, even though the thread had some activity, a mod understandably removed it given the circumstances.
