In my town, that would be at least $1,000. Probably closer to $1,500.

LOL, almost as bad as FL, I’m near Tampa I seen a 1 room for 800.00 a month. And share a kitchen and living room I hear a 1 bedroom apartment is 1500.00 to 1800.00 a month

Even in the small college town I live in, my tiny studio apartment that doesn’t even have a closet is $1400 a month. It’s 500 ft.² Yes I need to move. This is ridiculous.
A friend of mine, single mom with 2 teenage boys, in a 700 sqft, working 2 jobs. There's nowhere to run: wherever people run to prices will go up. and once you finally find a decent size place for a decent price its usually for a reason and the reason is not a good one.
I had to go into this “tent” set up by homeless people in Los Angeles to get to the utility box I had to work at the other day. Inside were two individual tents. The area in the middle where the utility box is, I referred to as the lobby, had a generator in it that was providing electricity to the two tents on either side.

No, their power stayed on. I didn’t touch it. The issue had nothing to do with them.

Considering a bed in a shared quad room around here goes for that price, that might be the better deal.... Heck, that's less than the average trailer space rental.

@Morpheus Are those obstructions not torn down if they're interfering with the maintenance/operation of a public utility?
Most of the time, the homeless people don’t directly interfere with our operations. If they are literally blocking our facilities, we have to contact the city liaison to get them moved or the area around our facilities, cleaned up. The vast majority of the time, we just work around them. We can clear them out but they’ll just be back the next day.
