So……..
I posted this, then it occurred to me, this may be a dumb question on a cuddle site 🙄🤣
No.
Not a dumb question, @Morpheus. Some might be allergic. Unfortunately, myself I don’t have any pets.
Some times. I have 2 cats that would love to sleep in my bed 24/7. Buuuut I'm actually allergic, so I keep them out of my room for the most part. It's really just the hair that gets to me. I used to let them sleep in my bed and it was covered in hair and they'd sleep on my chest/neck/face lol... I'd be so miserable when I woke up. 😩 But they are such bonded emotional support pets. So it's hard to keep them away... dang allergies.
It's up to the pets. I don't limit them from anything but harm or bugging other people.

I wish this were the only one.
Not a dumb question at all. 😊 We're here for human touch; pets may or may not be a secondary layer.
I adore animals - I'm an ethical vegan...I still can't stand fur. 😆 There's no way my dog is allowed in the bed. He knows which rooms he is and isn't allowed into, he's a very smart and good boy.
He loves his crate, it's his safe cave and we have a ridiculously poofy dog bed inside of it. Every night after I take him outside for the last time, I tell him, "Go nigh' night", and he runs into his crate and curls up like a donut. 🍩
In the winter and early spring, I tuck him in with a minky blanket. 😄🥰

My pet switches from me to her bed. Whatever she feels like.
My new cat jumps onto the bed,🐈 wants some attention, and then lies down next to me. There were occasions when I had a cuddler in bed with me and she would join us and then start attacking our feet!🫨
To me, it's not a dumb question at all. When I first got Princess, she was very afraid to go on Furniture and such because she was definitely abused. Now she kind of rules the bed, lol. There is nothing better than getting up late on a weekend and, seen her get up from where she's laying near the foot of the bed and stretch and walking in a circle and then walk up next to my shoulders and my head and give me a soft kiss and nuzzle me because she wants to wake me up, and then I usually end up, rubbing her belly. she's been a great cuddle partner. Anyone I cuddle with I make sure that they are OK with her being there. She is part of the household just as much as I am.
We let the dogs on the bed if we aren’t working the next day. If we are working though, we don’t let them. The cats however always sleep on the bed.
Yes, 3 cats. The only problem is they don't want to let me get up!
I rather have my space, my dog has his space, but when I did fall asleep with him in my bed I always wake up and he is gone lol, I guess I sleep too crazy for him🤣🤣🤣
My cat comes and goes from the bed as he will. 🐈⬛️
My little dog sleeps in the bed with me. He is little but somehow ends up taking up the whole bed. I find myself at the edge of the bed many nights. 🙃
I was looking for a thread about pets included in cuddling sessions. Since my dog sleeps on the bed he thinks that he should be part of cuddling sessions too. 😬😄
I always have clean sheets in case someone is allergic. It's been a 50/50 on whether or not my dog likes my cuddle partners. 🐶
The cats used to sleep on the bed. But then I got the giant dog. And while she does not sleep on the bed with me, she sleeps on the side of the bed.
And the cats do not like the dog.
They’re a little upset about the whole thing. 🤣
I don’t have any pets, but when I did they were not allowed on the furniture or the bed. I like my spaces very clean. I am allergic to cats too.
I’ve had a few cuddling experiences where my cuddle partner showed up with cat fur on their clothes. I didn’t like that but it stayed in place mostly and wasn’t enough to be a problem. In my opinion, it’s important to be mindful of other’s sensitivities. Ask first, or have a change of clothes ready.
Sometimes, if I don't mind being awakened at 4 AM.
I don’t have pets but I do dog/cat sit and a lot of owners have their pets sleep in the bed with them. With a lot of these pets, they’ll have it no other way, so the answer is yes.
My grandma hated my dog, and always told me dogs are filthy to sleep with. But science shows women sleep better with a dog than with a man! Unless the dog snores too, then it’s a crapshoot.
@NikkiFM I like that you pointed that out. I feel safe with my dog because if someone breaks in he will be the first to alert & protect me. A man can be a hard sleeper & not hear anything. And yes the snoring! 🙉 Thankfully my doggie rarely snores. I wipe paws & other areas before getting into bed to keep it clean if needed.
@NikkiFM I didn’t know about the research but definitely know this can be true based on my past experience.
No. Chip enjoys his personal space. He has multiple spots he chooses to rest or sleep. He often liked to be around ne but not necessarily being pet all the time
They are allowed and encouraged to come up on the bed. They’ll sleep on me in any position they can manage regardless of where I’m sitting or laying.
They mostly hide from cuddlers buuuuut my grey tabby is coming around to the visitors.
I have my fur baby’s sleep with me. I wake up in all kinds of shapes because they don’t share.
lol my cat, emulating how humans sleep has to have her head on pillow same way.
@mauvefox that's the reason why I don't get a dog. My cat already plots on my demise as it is haha They're all so cute though. Yall give your babies pets for me 🥰🤗
My pup sleeps in her bed on my bed
I’d say yes but my elderly cat prefers my mother’s room now but if I put her there physically she’ll stay!!!
My ratties would be allowed as well but they like to do their own thing
