So I'm on a road trip on my way to Orlando and the weather is beautiful and it got me thinking. Do you guys prefer going to the pool or the beach when the weather is nice?
Prefer mountains
@pmvines I was hoping to find some pictures of scenic mountains on your profile... I love to see mountains.
I suggest that you will announce you are on your way to Orlando in the Cuddle Requests section and that will save the need to ask a question. sorry but there are too many of these lately.
Pool. No sharks in the pool. No stingrays in the pool either. Or jellyfish.
Hey @Sooson I wasn't asking to request a cuddle I was just wondering peoples preference
I don't care for the sun so like @pmvines I would pick the mountains. I love to spend a day rambling around the cool, dark forests of the San Lorenzo mountains near my home. That said, I'd choose the pool, which could be pleasant. I do like the weightless, still feeling the comes from floating in a pool ...
What about, a rooftop pool overlooking the beach?
Both are lovely! But I’m missing the beach currently.
Hot tub at a cabin in the mountains
@Bear The only mountains we have here are the waste management waste centers.
@Sooson doesn't have to be here. If I had a choice That would be my choice. A pool would be next best.
Between the two choices, it depends. If I'm actually going to swim, pool. If I don't plan to get more than my feet in the water, beach. Though I'd prefer lakes over oceans as the salt water tends to sting my eyes and skin.
In a completely neutral world I prefer the beach. In the works that exists a pool is often much much easier and more convenient
Depends on the beach! I live in San Diego and have sandy beaches that are beautiful and I pick them all day over the pool. But I’ve been to places that have more rocky beaches or too strong of currents and I’ll pick pool have fun on your trip!!
How about a hot tub in the Rocky Mountains right after it snowed!!
I like both. 🏖
@Bryan123 IN Ventura, CA when I was a young adult there was a company that had private hot tubs for hourly rental (no it wasn't THAT kind of bathhouse) with a showerhead above the tub that sprayed a fine cool mist when a cord was pulled. It was heaven, going from almost overheated to standing up and cooling off from the mist.
@Vocalist100 Are you familiar with https://www.sybaris.com? Can get a private hot tub and swimming pool. and steam room.
@Sooson Hadn't heard of that. Now I just need a girlfriend.
Both (my usual answer to everything lol 😅).
Also not listed: mountain river/stream, lake/reservoir, sprinklers in the lawn
If going anywhere near the Outer Banks in NC, I cannot recommend Hammocks Beach State Park enough. Blows every other beach I've been to out of the water 🌊
Beach. Nice ocean breeze and nothing beats laying on sand
Floating in and around water spheres in a space-based zero-G pool would be... interesting.
Beach please! The hot sand seagulls squeaking the waves crashing that nap after playing the waves all day! That’s my happy place
The beach is nice, but it's usually so hot and crowded. I also won't go very far in the water though since I'm afraid of stepping on critters. I'm also really spoiled because my friend had a birthday party at a fancy pool once and now it's the only kind of pool I ever want to go back to... The little hidden cove, all the plants, multiple sections, a hot tub...
The beach looks pretty but I'm not a fan of sand. My opinion is similar to Anakin's when it comes to sand xD This is just a long way to say I vote for the pool xD
Beach, but I crowded, in a chair, under an umbrella, with a book with only occasional dips in the water to stay cool. Can't beat those ocean breezes.
I am lucky enough to have a house on the beach in socal. I love watching the ocean, listening to the sounds of waves and inhaling deeply to take in the scent of the spray. The way that light reflects off the water always changing and morphing to a new patina as the sun moves from east to west. But most of all since I surf~ a swimming pool seems……. Mundane.
Funny thing is, I’ve lived in socal my whole life and I rarely go to the beach. Been there and done that. I also have a pool and rarely go in it 🤷🏻♂️
Love the pool at my gym haha
Definitely beach! ☀️🏝️
