@AJVasquez Sweet pic
@AJVasquez 1000% agree π
1001% agree.
Absolutely. π―β€οΈ
Definitely
Well, that's why enthusiasts cuddle. But for pro's it must also be for this one too.
@Miles31 do you like your job? Would you do it for free? Why the need to insert that up in here?
.
@Miles31 just because it's not your job doesn't mean it's not a job. Job = getting paid to do work. Providing services = work. We get it, you don't like to pay for pros. You don't need to announce it repeatedly.
@AJVasquez thank you for sharing the cute pic π
@Miles31 Your point is well made, but as you've noticed there are those on the site who will fight that narrative.
@Miles31 lol. As a pro, that made me chuckle
Yes!! ππ€
@Miles31
Some Pro's are here for the money. π€
Some are here for the cuddles. π«
Some are here to help people. π«΄π»
Some are a blend.
It's up to clients to vet their Pro's and choose wisely. π§
Or don't be a client, and be trustworthy enough to rope an enthusiast. π€
But not all Pro's are just in it for the money.

I thought this was the one time the whole forum agrees, but looks like I was late for the party.lol
Bingo
Yes! Recharge those batteries π I need cuddles myself even as a pro.
So many of my clients have social anxiety so it is difficult to meet people and connect for cuddles. Helping those who need it is part of what I enjoy about being a cuddler.
@Minestrone101 Hahaha To be honest with you, this isn't why I cuddle.
When I first joined, it was something akin to this...I was struggling with insomnia and was lonely for hours at night when everyone was asleep. I just wanted to be held. But that soon passed, when I got off the medication that was causing the insomnia.
A guy once had the audacity to ask me, while holding me, "What, doesn't your boyfriend keep you satisfied?" He was referring to cuddles, but we'll just ignore the gross undertone.
My response was this, and this is why I cuddle...
I get to cuddle my boyfriend every single day. I'm not lacking in cuddles. My cuddle cup is full. I just want more. If I can connect with friends in such a caring, accepting way, why wouldn't I?
I see cuddling as a beautifully accepting hobby, that lifts people up and promotes meaningful friendship and healthier self-esteem. I don't do it because my battery is low...I do it because it's the best thing ever. π
Here's another

Agree, it is a lovely cartoon. I feel the same as Lady Vel. For me, I enjoy platonic cuddling quite a bit and being a professional allows me to devote more of my time to it.
It is similar to the 20 years (recently retired except for a couple of dear, older women I've been seeing for years) or so I've spent in my massage therapy practice. I believe in massage, I like helping people, and I have come to care for many of my long-terms clients, especially the older folks who I knew depended on me. I've been invited to long-term client's weddings, been to their children's birthdays in a couple of cases, and for one I was present in the nursing home holding her hands when she passed because her family had either died or forgotten about her. This was one of the saddest but also most beautiful moments in my life. Also, I delayed retiring for a few years until certain of my clients moved on from my practice because of the connection we had built up.
But all that said, I didn't massage people for free, well, except for my friend, who had been forgotten. I continued with her by the end for free because the nursing home got all her money. Just wanted to share all of this to say that while it may not be true for some. I think many people can care about what they do and care about people, even when there is money involved.
On the other side of the cuddling coin, when I've wanted to cuddle where it is "all about me" or I needed some 100% "Katelyn Time," I've hired two pros on here myself. Sure, they got paid, but the impression I received was they enjoyed our time together.
it's an involuntary action. Like sneezing.

So well said, like most things you say on here.
I imagine a member of the Sierra Club posting that picture of the rescued bear cub that inspired the Smokey the Bear character, along with the caption, βThis is why we fight fires.β
Along comes @Miles31 with a comment about professional firefighters and that same mean-spirited photo.
Like, read the room, pal.
π
@sunsetgal Glad you filled your cuddle cup. Hope your insomnia is better.
looks like I was late for the party.lol
@Minestrone101 Lol! I'm always late to a Cuddle Comfort party.π
And yes, for a moment I was agreeing with you it did seem like a harmonious flow within the commentary for a spell.ππ
And then BOOM it's not so harmonious anymore. Lol!πππ
