I'm not sure how this would work. It seems insane to me. Maybe I'm posting in the wrong place.
Hang on, lemme get my popcorn ready . . .
Not sure if it's wrong to ask here. I know couple people here that are in a long distance relationship and im sure some would be happy to share their opinions. But the subject can probably be discussed more freely elsewhere since this is a platonic platform
@MrMadi What are you referring to? This isn't a dating site. You won't find a girlfriend here.
What is the actual question?
Like are you contemplating having one? I mean obviously you know that’s not what this site is for-
so I’m confused
One advantage to a long distance relationship: seeing each other becomes an event, so you are less likely to take each other for granted. But if you are someone with trust issues, don't even attempt it. I've had relationships that spanned two hours apart to an ocean apart.
Grabbing a snack for this one . . .
Trying to be my 'usual' helpful self:
First step IS to find a woman/man/person/individual et al .......whom you connect with and would want to be your gf.
Sipping a much needed iced coffee.....giving advice is such a joy
@MrMadi thank you for calling Cuddle Comfort I’ll be happy to answer your question.
To make things work, you will both need to have a desire to howl at the moon and be careful of the water that you drink that it has no evil spirits in it. Make sure that you both own muscle cars and that you like to slow dance. You get bonus points if you’re both beautiful people and like cheese.
And most important of all remember what a wise man once said giving and receiving a hug is a complicated matter approach with caution
@jubal and I together
Normal adults could sit down and converse about this topic openly, most definitely without assumptions and accusations. This place is not normal.
I will say it is a lot of work. I also agree with what @WriterGF said about it being event oriented. I had one for about 3 years and spent the next 15 years married by my side.
Now I’m just bitter. Things change, people change, everything changes rapidly these days. Give it a shot. I never imagined doing something like this but here I am curious to give it a go. I don’t see it as a long term solution but maybe it’s fun to alleviate the loneliness for a while.
If OP would have provided all the details, then no "assumptions" or "accusations" would have been made. Those were just educated guesses by everyone, btw, since no one had all the details of what exactly was being addressed.
Why are we overthinking and even assuming there are details? OP shared his thought that long distance relationship is insane and wonders how it works. That all.
Obviously if the OP shared more details, things would be easier to understand. Some of y’all though went from 0️⃣ to 💯 real quick.
@lonelytauros🤣 I needed that laugh!
@Sooson There still had to be something there that provoked this thought....
@lonelytauros
@Jubal bring extra, and I'll share my red licorice.
I have a long distance relationship. I'm in Michigan, she's in Laguna Beach, CA.
It's working well for both of us. When she remarried after our divorce, I did not attend.
@starrynitecuds eh, I much prefer genuine black licorice ... I know, most people think it's nasty lol
LOL @LionsFan
@lonelytauros 🪦
OP: …… 💣 vague ? …….silences more of the crickets 🦗
Me: Did someone say twizzlers or Aussie licorice ?
I like cheese
@pmvines how do you feel about cheese corn?
SunshineHug....I can share my Aussie licorice. You like the green one?
In case the topic is referring to finding a long distance relationship via this site, if a member is using the site to date/hook up, they will be banned, and discussing it in the forums in this context may result in a timeout.
Black licorice definitely -it is healthier and tastier yum 😋 Although red is good too.
@SunshineHug You had me at Aussie licorice. I share @FriendlyFemale's curiosity. Which variety is your favorite?
@FriendlyFemale Green is definitely 👍 Dorian licorice no Black licorice no
@Jubal & @jillyain you may have all the black licorice.
@starrynitecuds Love me some Mexican street corn ! I forget the type of cheese that's used but it really hits
These forums are such a special kind of ridiculous and I love that about this site 🤣😂🍿
@pmvines save me a piece of corn for later. Points for movie 🎥 ref - 1000 CC points You now have a million CC cheese points in your account. For all da cheddar
@MarkBPhx Raspberry and Strawberry 🍓 A long time ago there was grape 🍇 rope licorice at all the games concession stands. It’s probably got endocrine disruptors but it was tasty. What’s your favorite licorice? Trader Joe’s be dangerous for me.
@LionsFan Best Response to this so far.
