CUDDLIST vs Cuddle Party 🩵💜💗

I love that there are people in the world who have a desire to help others. I know not EVERYONE has a desire to hire professionals or go to a FACILITATED cuddle party where you pay people to help EDUCATE newbies and also keep things organized.

BUT…. For those who like that part of the platonic cuddle world… do y’all have a preference? Cuddle Party (TM) or CUDDLIST?

I know there are nuances to each kind of training but I’m not even sure I know all of those. (Please help inform us if you know/want to 😊)

And Omgosh. A dear friend sent this and I had forgotten about this one. I LOVE THIS ONE!! 🥰

    I'm curious to hear what the differences are (or even a basic explanation of each). I have gathered that Cuddlist is a well known and fairly thorough training, but hadn't even heard of Cuddle Party. 🤔

    Cuddle party started before Cuddlist and does a 45 min consent work shop before cuddling. It’s a great system. It’s set up to work with multiple people and one on one. I would occasionally assist at local cuddle parties. Holding space and help people ground and such.

    Cuddlist was started with 2 people who were involved in cuddle party. It’s geared towards professional cuddlers. I started The training and didn’t finish. It was around the time my mom passed away, plus I didn’t want to be a professional cuddler.

    They both teach working with others and about consent. Yet have different goals.

    I wish there were more cuddle parties, it’s a community atmosphere.

    I have experience in both. More so in cuddle party. Nothing on paper.

    Cuddlist is really a training geared toward those who want to do one on one sessions professionally, whereas Cuddle Party training is really all about leading groups. In fact, the Cuddle Party training has two parts, the first module covers the foundations of facilitation (which applies to facilitation of any kind of group), and in the second module, which is experiential in nature, one is actually guided through the process of putting together a few actual cuddle parties, upon successful completion of which the participant applies for and receives certification as an official Cuddle Party facilitator.

    I know of one another organization (cuddle sanctuary) which offers training to do one on one sessions professionally, and also on how to lead cuddle groups; the process for facilation of the groups differs slightly from that of Cuddle Party, however the training is very similar.

    I went to one cuddle workshop. I have no idea what training the facilitator went through. She's been a professional cuddler for 7 years I think, and had recently started the workshops.
