Thank you for blocking me

You ever feel happy to be blocked by someone? I feel like I created my boundaries, and the other party just couldn't be my friend/client in a normal way and just decided to block me. Thank goodness.
Imagine me being in a whole different state and feeling uncomfortable in a session or put in a weird situation.
No thank you.
Anyone else ever feel relieved after a block?

  • Yes, being blocked is always a blessing in disguise.

  • I completely agree - relieved to be blocked because someone doesn’t like me for…
who knows what her reason is.

  • There are a couple that have blocked me and I just laughed 😆 a few were ones that asked one of those “what will we wear” questions. I said “shorts and a tank top are fine. Just make sure to wear boxers under your shorts!” He blocked me.
One pro was being absolutely belligerent to a bunch of us when she started a thread asking something. I answered, along with a couple other pros and she didn’t like our answers and blocked us lol

Now I have had some block me that left me confused. One just a couple weeks ago talked with me about booking a cuddle. We had the date and time picked out, location and everything. He accepted the proposal and then the morning of our cuddle, I sent him a message to confirm our cuddle and noticed he blocked me….. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @TxTom Agreed!

@jillyain I'm glad you are relieved.. I actually have you blocked myself but hey that's how it goes!

@Sheena123 Yeah I've been left confused after a block myself. It's always a blessing in disguise.

  • I've been preemptively blocked by at least one person because of my posts on here.

I've been blocked by one or more folks with whom I respectfully disagreed with on here.

    Better for me I'm sure.

  • @Cuddlesofcuddle while I do sincerely agree it’s ultimately good to be blocked, I would find it so funny if you blocked everyone who responded to this post. :)

  • haha your comment made me chuckle @ShaneSchrute

  • I might be one of the most blocked people on here. My pearls of wisdom just shock people. Sometime I block back just for S&Gs.

  • The last block was by a pro after I refused to take a conversation off the platform.

@Sooson thank you for your many pearls of wisdom that you contribute and thank you for having the integrity of not taking a conversation off the platform

@lonelytauros Lol thank you for the meme kind sir!

  • Ok, check THIS out. I’ve blocked as a positive, helpful tool that benefits both parties involved. I can’t stand seeing profiles in my feed where I think “cool vibe” then realize I’ve messaged them and they’ve never responded, OR I’m older than their range. I block when that happens so I don’t pop up in their “Viewed By” list looking all thirsty or worse lol! Never any animosity, more like Happy Cuddlng ✊🏽!

  • Of course. It helps you size people up. It confirms things you thought about them from reading their messages and forum posts. It lets you know you had the right idea and you are coming across the way you meant to. So much good stuff about it.

I wish that some people would not feel upset about being blocked. When that happens, count your good qualities. Then count their good qualities, if you know any. Did you come out even or ahead? Then why are you upset? If that is not the case, then you might have a possible reason to be upset and it's time for self-reflection and possibly self-improvement.

And there are always some like me & EvolutionofSesn who use blocking for administrative reasons.

    @Sooson LOL.

  • I had someone recently block me whom I had been chatting with on here for over a month! Just because I took a couple of days to respond to their message. Even though they took over a week to respond back to a message that I had sent them, go figure!

  • This post reminds me of this quote which is sometimes credited to David Foster Wallace, "You'll stop worrying what others think about you when you realize how seldom they do".

  • @ShaneSchrute an actress friend says “we’re all just supporting actors to someone’s starring role”

  • That's all you needed to know cruiseguy88, lol. I like finding out those kind of things sooner rather than later.

  • Wait, can you see who blocked you, and vice-versa?

Hmmmm there may be a better way to communicate...there needs to be a soft block..where you can 1rst degree block, 2nd degree block and then if the planets align and you're sure about the price of eggs and gas..(well ya get my point.)

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@cruiseguy88 Did they tell that is why they blocked you?

  • @SeekerInVA only if you try to message them. It will tell you that you can't send them a message because they blocked you.

  • Another one bites the dust...
Good riddance to any who blocked me.
    Thanks a million!
I block more than I am blocked.
Last one was an intro message of "heyyyy"
    There's plenty of reasons.

  • [Deleted User]MaverickLegend (deleted user)

@Auroradream did he at least put girl after heyyyy? If not I understand the block

  • @SeekerInVA I believe the only way to know is going to their profile. It’ll say if you’ve blocked them and if they’ve blocked you back. But, my interest in that only goes so far so I’m not certain that’s the only way.

Alternatively you could just not check. And move on. :)

There is a great scene in A Bronx Tale where a younger man is chasing after a guy who owes him $20. A wiser wise guy tells the kid to, ‘forget about him. He’s always going to avoid you. So, it only costs you $20 to get that guy out of your life.’

Being blocked by some random stranger is free. So it’s a real bargain way to not get personally contacted anymore by some random person who has some unstated problem with you.

  • @WriterGF No I didn't get an explanation as to why they blocked me! It was very strange because we had been getting along well and having great conversations. And I was even going to try and meet up with them for a cuddle session too!

  • @achetocuddle Yes I suppose you are right! Better to find out sooner than later what type of person they are! But it sucks when you already have time invested in talking with them!

  • I love being able to block. And I'll take being blocked over being stalked any day.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@cruiseguy88 If they took a week to get back to you, they might not be too invested here or (more likely) were just buried in messages. They may well have gone on a blocking spree to keep from being overwhelmed.
