@sillysassy Living in NYC, irked is but a way of life here. 😂I got a laundry list of them, cost of living, cost of food, cost of sanity dealing with certain pedestrians, politicians. I'm amazed I haven't cut my mental cord of stability...yet.

I'm irked that everything this morning/early afternoon seemed be going slower than usual. From trying to use the internet to watch something on my phone taking forever, to the drive to work being slow and at least 10 miles (or more) under the speed limit almost the entire way, no matter which street, to when I went to pick up a pizza for lunch making me wait 20 more minutes when I arrived to pick it up. (I actually got there 10 minutes after they had originally said it would be ready by so I was trying to hurry, only to be told they just put it in the oven so I had to wait)

@SweetCuddler33 Oddly that thought did come to mind, like am I being protected from something at work? I don't think anything out of ordinary happened at the office today though so it really makes me wonder what it could have been. I got over it anyway once I was finally able to have lunch and eat that pizza lol.
@CSnMUS87 One of your Guardian Angels was sent to protect you .. sudden delay/detour to divert you from potential danger or a path that would have lead you to harm ( road accident, large tree branch falling , lightening strike) if you weren’t delayed… Hope your pizza was delicious! 🍕 😃
I was walking outside down a dark street by myself last night... A group of young kids were walking towards me...... As they get closer I put my wallet in my sock tightened my butt cheeks and started to walk upright and faster almost at Massimo Stano pace.
We got close to reach other and I got irked... Really irked.... Irked in a bad way... Im good now though.
Just have to remember ankle socks are not a good place to stash a wallet when speed walking at Massimo Stano pace and wearing cargo shorts with toms.

I'm irked (and more than a bit disappointed) about the fact that after looking through a job description and seeing I have ALL of their listed qualifications (and then some), tailored my resume to their listed position to showcase the things they were looking for, AND got a referral from someone who works there before starting my application, they still rejected me without even so much as an opportunity for an interview. "A team of professionals carefully reviews every application received. Unfortunately, you have not been selected to continue at our process for this position." Wondering if ageism is happening or what happened.

@SweetCuddler33 I did. She's going to ask her supervisor if they know anything. In the meantime I just keep applying other places. I was a little irked last night when a place I applied to sent me a 161 question "quiz" to be considered eligible. It took longer than it should have due to their quiz site or servers not being the best. 11 Sections and you have to click "Submit" for each section before moving onto the next one. Often the submit button would just hang there and nothing would happen for several minutes, which meant I had to refresh the page (which erased all my answers for that section!), or sometimes I'd click and nothing would happen until I clicked submit multiple times. I started copying my answers onto notepad so I could quickly just fill it out again sometimes 2 or 3 times per section. Definitely kept me up until past 2 AM 😅. But I was determined to finish. I got an email saying I passed their assessment, and "have joined our candidate interview pool for the software development apprenticeship." and also basically am in their pool for up to a year if they have a client in my area. So I'm glad I passed because that was tedious, but I'll keep looking because there's no telling when or if they'll get a client to pick me for.
I’m irked how some people have pets for their own convenience rather than prioritizing the animals complex needs..sickening 🤮
