Best tips and tricks for a broken heart

Help me out, gang. I’m so sick of being sad and nauseous. What do you guys do when someone treats you bad?

  • I think distraction is the best for at least the short term... The busier you are with things, the last time you have to spend dwelling on what happened. Healing definitely takes time but if you're dwelling on it all the time during that time, it's miserable. If you can find a hobby or a second job to occupy a lot of your time, you will distract yourself enough that it will be easier to digest what happened and everything and process your feelings in smaller chunks as time passes

  • I wouldn't say I have tips per se but music helps me a lot with my struggles....connecting to either the lyrics or the emotion in the tube itself. But I'm sending you lots of virtual love and strength. And big giant hugs. Hang in there! ❤️‍🩹

  • The first step is to realize what your own words just summarized : someone treated YOU badly. At least you realize he/she was not treating you as a partner or lover in a positive and supportive manner. Now YOU need to figure out the “why” this occurred. Did you cause this to happen? Were you willing to take the mistreatment instead of ending IT and being alone? Use this as a way to learn about yourself and the next time change how either you choose a mate or at least change how long you allow yourself to be mistreated next time. Good luck.

  • When circumstances dump all over me, I always look on the bright side of life...

  • I would seek out people who treat me well. If you have friends or family that's relatively close, asking them if they'd be down for a bite to eat could help you decompress, vent if needed, and most importantly surround you with people who do care. Helps me out!

    Many thank you’s everyone!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  • Get a new puppy

  • Know that you deserve to be treated well, take good care of yourself right now, hot bath, eat good, read a book, do a hobby, hang out with a friend, have good boundaries with that person that did you wrong, and get back out there when you are ready. Big hugs!

Love like there's no such thing as broken heart.

  • I do chores when I'm nervous or upset. Even when I'm really upset...it helps make sense and order our of something I can control. The end result, a clean space is a mood boast too. 😇

  • There are always rage rooms where you can go scream, smash and vent your frustrations.

  • Certainly been there a few times in my many decades. I have been blessed with good friends who listened to me sob, held me, forced me to eat (soup is amazingly healing), and helped me rebuild my life. Breakups can be soul crushing. The death of a child is a whole ‘nother level of heartbreak. Your friends and even friendly acquaintances and strangers can be a lifeline. Time does not heal all wounds, but it does help you to be able to live with them. Wishing you all the best!

  • @SweetlyBlissful it depends on who the person is? Is it a love relation related or a friend or a family? The expectation should be different for different relationships. And also your effort in rebuilding the relationship should be based on the type of relationship.

  • @SweetlyBlissful Show some love for yourself doing things you love and care for yourself. Great way to channel away from the sadness of a breakup to feeling right about yourself.

  • Sometimes I ask myself, what becomes of the broken hearted, who had love that is now departed.
Go to the gym and work on yourself no woman is worth suffering over.

  • I sometimes ponder how you mend a broken heart, how can you stop the rain from falling down?

  • Companionship with someone for comfort and affection

How can you stop the sun from shining.

  • Got to keep moving.Listen to the birds singing.

  • Listen to Bob Seger and Turn the Page.

  • Besides therapy, journaling and ingratiating yourself in a community. Volunteering would also make you busy while contributing.

  • Life is about experiencing the ups and downs. Even in our deepest grief, there's something beautiful about the miracle that we even get to feel pain and feel anything at all. For me learning to appreciate pain has helped tremendously... And to help others who, OMG have gone through the absolute worst... (My best friend for example, unbearable tragedy). Appreciate it, let yourself explore it, but don't wallow in it. Grief is an amazing thing. It will hurt awhile but you can still be very happy and hurt at the same time. I'm about a year into one... Still hurts a ton. Try to be as friendly as you can to everyone, you'll feel amazing and remember everyone is going through pain of their own.

  • Listen : The best tip For a broken heart is to allow yourself to feel the pain -first of all. Secondly, be surrounded by loved ones- when you’re up for it .. face each day in gratitude. Journal get it all out. Talk it out for a day or two. Then self-love. Work out- Be present watch anything, and everything positive… And forgive the situation. Pro and con the entire situation. And if you have to scream (do it) if you have to take a kick boxing 🥊 class (do it)
The one main thing to remember is it isn’t about you losing the person it’s about that lesson being over … keep the good leave the bad and pray for it all …. That person was no longer in your vibration.

If you ever need to talk I’m here 🫶🏻

  • @msessions777: What lovely sentiments and I couldn't agree more about approaching grief. Also, I read your profile and came away thinking that you sound like someone with a beautiful soul. I hope you find someone special to cuddle with again out in SLC.

  • You're getting loads of good advice from all these folks, and I'd like to add this. Whatever steps you take, don't obsess or dwell on the other person for too long. It's perfectly ok to address YOUR feelings as long as necessary, but if your head is still wrapped around the other person, then it becomes much more difficult to engage with other people (whether a new romantic partner, a platonic cuddle buddy, or just casual friends for activities). Engaging with other people ultimately will help you the most.

Once again, CC for the win! I just wanted to send buckets of gratitude to all of you. I’m doing much better today and expect that trend to continue. Getting out and focusing on others and self care have been a godsend for me. Thank you for taking the time to help me get my head back on straight! Happy cuddling! 💜💜

    😁👍

    Lol! 😀
Like always, I am "late to the party". But I wanted to post this as my response to OP anyway, be well.😁🫂

  • My toxic trait is I download dating apps the same day a relationship ends and distract myself with talking to new people. That is how I got into a new relationship one month after my four-and-a-half-year relationship ended. I also spent a ton of money on having a glow up eg, new clothes, a fancy gym membership, microneedling, botox, body contouring surgery etc. Did I have enough time to fully emotionally process my last relationship ending before my next one started? No. Were my actions conducive to my long-term financial goals? Absolutely Not! Do I look and feel better than if I sat around eating ice cream and wallowing in self-pity? Indubitably!

So my advice is to be selfish, invest in yourself, look as hot as humanly possible, and find someone to replace the person who broke your heart ASAP because being alone is the worst, and you always want to be the one that comes out on top at the end of a breakup.
