It's hard to put into words but I have to click with the person first. It could be how they describe themselves, their dress sense, smile, sense of humour, anything.
I guess it helps me relax, open up a little to get the full benefit of the experience. But everyone is different.
I am a chatterbox who offers access points for the person to jump in and question, engage, joke, riff or whatever…so I am picky about choosing a verbally intelligent or at the very least verbally competent partner. I understand social inadequacies but if I am going to be close to someone for a couple of hours I at least need someone that can hold a cordial conversation and bonus points if they love to laugh. Having to do all the verbal heavy lifting is not relaxing. That’s just me.
@TheFunCartel You and I are similar in that regard. I can have a quiet session, but I do prefer to at least have some conversation interspersed. And if we laugh? All the better. My session has been made.
As far as the original questions, I’ll cuddle just about anyone, but I do like to have a rapport with them ahead of time. I’m one of those pros that doesn’t mind regular convos in my DMs. The goal is for them to eventually lead to sessions, but I’m not bummed if they don’t.
Verbatim invite I just turned down here: Wanna drink and cuddle? An enticing offer (not really) asked so eloquently (not really) but neither are activities that I enjoy with an acquaintance. Trust factors heavily into both.
I am a pro. As long as I don't get bad vibes, I'm comfortable cuddling everyone. I don't have to know people well but we have had a short conversation before meeting.
I can't speak for other pros, but I always make sure to take the time to get to know someone through messages and a (free) phone call or virtual. It's an investment of my time but a good one, I think, as folks show up here already feeling connected. Or at least, that's my goal.
@happyhour I say this respectfully as I can but it must be asked.
Do you REALLY not get why someone would send you that request?
There is no way that went over your head.
@BrianOcean I was thinking the same thing
Cuddling for me is done as part of a friendship, which is why I don't really understand the Pro side of this site. Cuddlers I have met on here I have always had loads of interaction with and had meetings before we decided to cuddle. Cuddles come out of friendships. Hugs are for strangers
Curious of the happy hour response. Because seems like they were trying to meet you where you were at.
@cuddlyDavid It's very simple. There are a ton of male enthusiasts on this site and not a lot of female enthusiasts. If it weren't for the availability of pros, most men here would get no cuddles at all.
@cuddlyDavid
It is actually really easy to understand the Pro Side of the site.
There are VERY FEW Female cuddlers.
Without Pros -Many guys would have no one at to cuddle with.
Also-if cuddling is done as part of friendship-How can you cuddle anyone on this site be it Pro or otherwise unless you knew them previous and then you would not need the site to get together with them.
@WriterGF Yes, you have already told me that... at length. Your opinion is exactly that. Just an opinion and I am not sure why you have to keep repeating it. You are not a cuddling oracle.
**Cuddles come out of friendships. Hugs are for strangers **
Sounds like just an opinion to me as well.
@BrianOcean yes that is an opinion. I never said otherwise. I joined this site to find friendships that would evolve into cuddle friendships.. I have found one and spent the last weekend with her at a Blues festival in Swanage. I personally don't want to cuddle someone for an hour or two and not be friends with them. I hope that clears up your confusion and answers your questions. BTW. I am from the UK and there appears to be more non-pro females here than in your neck of the woods.
@BrianOcean and @jimmylee I ask this respectfully as I can but it must be asked. Do you NOT speak sarcasm?
My (not really) was MY added sarcasm. I don't need you mansplaining his intentions like I'm a dumb woman. If you were THAT worried or concerned, you'd have been in my DM, not boasting to make yourself look like my savior.
@happyhour obviously we weren't in the conversation you had with this suspect jerk, I'm just thinking that it could have been a light hearted way to break the ice and have a laugh. It may very well not have. But when i read it i was appalled then as i glanced back up at your user name i immediately thought it was just a little line. I'm not speaking for the others you mentioned but i am sharing because it did cross my mind. But that's why i asked.
@happyhour
I'm extremely confused by your post-Maybe I missed something- Why I would be worried or concerned?
"not boasting to make yourself look like my savior"
I don't know any other way to say this .What the Hell are you talking about?
I am not sure what a DM is although I can ask my kids.
As far as Mansplaining- I think I know what that means.
I have no idea what his intentions were or are-but if you can't figure out why you may get that request many times in the future-Perhaps you should consider changing your user name.
Your name is Happy Hour- You are on a cuddling site-A guy asked you to have a drink and cuddle.
What's the Problem?
Maybe you can Femalesplain to us.
Nothing to see hear. Remain calm everything has returned to normal
@BashfulLoner my thoughts exactly.
@happyhour I gladly would have engaged in a reasoned, mature conversation with you (Bashful Loner pretty much summed up what I, and others, was thinking), but after your comments directed toward me, I don't see any good coming out of it. It wasn't even a big deal. Geesh.
_I hope that clears up your confusion _
The only thing confusing is why someone would say they "don't really understand the Pro side of this site". Then when someone gives them an answer -they say it is an opinion.
The only opinion was given by you. _ "Cuddles come out of friendships. Hugs are for strangers"_ That is clearly an Opinion.
The response you got about Pros keep the site going is not an opinion. It is a fact. A fact you seem to have a problem with. In the US- Man have to hire cuddlers or they won't be able to cuddle in most circumstances.
If you have made frienships on this site-I think that is great for you.
Maybe you chose the name as meaning an hour of happiness for cuddling but most people will think of the more common meaning of Happy Hour, at least in the US. I’m a female and when I saw the user name, well I understood why someone would think you were up for a drink and a cuddle. Just make it clear in first messages.
I did not come here looking for friendship. I don’t need to only cuddle with one person who is meant to hang out and be friends. I’m here to show care/be a caregiver through cuddling to many people possibly, and I have done that. I already have obligations with my family so I might feel a little stressed if a Cuddler has expectations of my time or gets too needy. So you see, each of us is different and want a different experience here.
@g_w_t_w waiting to see if you get the same tongue lashing I got for the exact same sentiment. 🤔
@jimmylee lol I’m with you on this. “tongue lashings”don’t bother me at all because really it’s just words on a screen. Some people haven’t had enough experience with meeting zillions of people in their lifetime to understand that each of us comes from (sometimes) entirely different ways of thinking and needs. I’ve had 74 years of not living in a bubble so I get it. Living overseas & in different cultures helps.
@g_w_t_w would love to share a meal with you if for no other reasons than to hear your stories.
Well I see your age and David’s aren’t far from mine so we’ve all had lots of time to learn about others so I think I was being too harsh and I apologize for that. Yes I love to share stories! I’ll be back in the US in December I think.🤗😊
@BrianOcean Hey mate! Yes everything I said in my posts were all opinions. I think I mentioned that, maybe you missed it. I have absolutlely NO problem with pros. I also have no problem with other guys paying for cuddles. What other people do doesn't bother me in the slighteset. I was just saying it isn't for me because I need to know a person well before I cuddle them. I would rather take time to get to know them then cuddle when we are both ready. I don't doubt for one minute that the revenue accrued from Pros keep the site going. That is just basic commerce. As I said. I have no problems with pros. They are just not for me. I hope that is clear. Have a rocking day matey!
@pmvines you echo my sentiment exactly. Friendship first, and if it evloves into a meeting then great and if cuddles come from that meeting even better. I have been in contact with a few people on here and have met one particular person and made a great friendship with.
