@Dance_Culture you need to start a podcast brother! Spot on!!! 🔥🔥🔥
@Dance_Culture
Most of all, men want an ice cold beer.
So the fact that I prefered room temperature beer should have been a sign?
I lol'd a bit thinking about the "men only want one thing and it's 🤬 disgusting" memes
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/guys-literally-only-want-one-thing-and-its-fucking-disgusting
@Anthony404—When I read your post, I read it as a psychological desire. Like coffee and chocolate, the example of a job interview is good. You bring your own experiences to the post. It's a good one, with lots of comments and views. Thanks for opening this up.
Vulnerability and illusion I get and understand. To embrace a stranger is being vulnerable, especially when we meetings are at a spot thay you've never been. And it is an illusion. The connection, the dopamine it does not last.
@theCuddleDrgn @simsaddict and @starrynitecuds, you bring your own experience into what is being read (not said). In my opinion, what the OP is saying and what you are hearing are two different things. I'm not saying you're wrong for thinking this, and I appreciate the bias you reveal in your own words from previous experiences. It's totally understandable how bias causes our brains to trick us. We all do it.
In a pure form, if we lack desire are we even human? Yes, I agree if the desire is non-plantonic this is not the place. And caution must be given. There is nothing sensual in what I read in the initial post. Just an honest and vulnerable comment. Based on OP perspective which.
@Dance_Culture karma is a joke. It's fluff. The site lacks an ethical review system.
Good topic. And kudos to @Anthony404 - thanks.
@lonelytauros thank you for saving this thread from its own inanity. Great meme!
@billiam I love that you understand what I'm talking about, and your prof. is 🔥 Might just have to come to FL sometime, idk. 😘🤷♀️
Based on what I have heard from pros and female enthusiasts on here, a lot of the men on this site are trying for a good deal more than that.
@WriterGF
Men ultimately want to feel vulnerably safe,...
Meh. Men want to feel victorious; to be the master of their universe.
...appreciated and desired.
...will naturally follow success.
I don't want to bang or date the pizza
Lol! 😀
@Muggle_Mike I don't know, I have had worst human encounters then with pizza. 😀🍕
I am now considering starting a "relationship" with pizza. Lol 🤔😀
to be the master of their universe.
@TxTom
👍👍👍👍
@Katota Pizza has never let me down. Neither has He-Man.
@Dance_Culture I agree with @Anthony404 about your last comment. It is spot on. Men need to feel valued, admired, appreciated and treasured. "Respected" might be a better word for it than "desired". My niece had to write a 20 page essay on respect after she pushed the limits of back talk with my brother. She thought it meant to obey. She was surprised to discover that respect is about acknowledging and admiring someone's value as a human being. Showing regard for their abilities and qualities, valuing their feelings and views, and accepting them as an equal who is deserving of your time and attention. Truly respecting a man is about admiring him. Although all men and women need to feel respected, men seem to need it more in my opinion.
@Anthony404 I completely disagree with your response to SweetSweetJane about 1:1,000,000 chances.
There is a different thread about empathy. I didn't comment there because it started off track by connecting empathy with someone's perceived psychic abilities and predicting dice.
True empathy is not just acknowledging another person's feelings or feeling sorry for them. It is being open to see from their perspective, to attempt to understand their feelings and emotions and to respond accordingly.
If you have ever done a Meyers Briggs, people with an "NF" (intuitive and feeling) have personalities that are more naturally equipped to show empathy. We are rare - only about 10%-15% of the population...but we are not illusion. 1:10 is more accurate. Since intuitive feeling personalities are drawn to nurturing, cuddling is a natural for us.
Regarding whether embracing a stranger is an illusion, if it's real or not, here are some thoughts...
The dopamine does not last, but for me, embracing (and connecting with) a stranger can allow me to see myself differently. Allows me to step outside of the prison I keep myself in. And I see, but more importantly feel, a new way of being. A new side to myself. And I can take that with me, like a new north star that I can follow in the rest of my life.
Feeling it is important. The experiential component is what makes it real for me, and allows me to make lasting changes. And again for me, the most important thing is how I relate to myself and the world, not this person, not keeping this connection going. It's ok if I never see them again because if I can get myself right, I can have this kind of experience with almost anyone, with nature, with art, with myself even. I rarely get there, but I have, a few times. It's quite a place to be and this kind of random connection helps me along this path.
So I guess what this man really desires is people to help me become the person I want to be. And they help just by relating to me, not necessarily doing anything to me or for me. It's most helpful if the relating is open and honest.
Top 3 manly desires for those who desire vulnerably safe, appreciated and desired desire during a desirable time of the day:
For those who dont believe in vulnerability...... ......
What’s with all the “men need to feel valued and respected”? We ALL, regardless of sex or gender need to feel valued and respected. It’s 2024 my dudes…
@NikkiFM Wow! I think you might want to take a deep breath and regather yourself. Did you see the title/heading of this thread? To say men desire to feel valued and respected is not to say that women don't want those things or deserve them. If I am at the doctor's office and read an article in the waiting room from a magazine targeting a female audience, I don't complain nor expect that the article isn't necessarily going to be all inclusive. Start a thread entitled "What women REALLY desire!" and I'll gladly post that they desire to be valued and respected.
What men REALLY desire? Hmmm, desire seems like a strong word. In my opinion what men really desire is none of my business as a pro cuddler.
@Cuddlesofcuddle lol yeh, that whole issue (how the word "desire" is to be understood in this context) was discussed earlier on in this thread.
@Anthony404 Hmmmm podcast might be interesting..I do have speaking therapy goals. Is mankind ready for my truth?
@IronLemon Room temperature beer. I'd have to do some tests but it could probably happen in a cold room.
@jimmylee please stop with the dramatics and telling people to “gather themselves” for expressing an opinion. There’s a lady on here specifically stating that men need respect more than women. I forgot to tag.
@NikkiFM Let me get this straight. You're decrying me addressing someone's opinion by telling me to "stop" expressing my opinion. Doesn't seem equitable, but that's just my opinion. You are free, of course, to express your opinion about what you think I was saying and meant. This is an open forum, after all.
For the record, Cuddles of cuddle and I have communicated privately about this and are at peace with it.
@jimmylee Pretty sure she was decrying your behavior, not your opinion.
@jimmylee “take a deep breath and gather yourself” isn’t an opinion. I certainly said nothing remotely along the lines of telling you that you can’t express yours, again you’re quite dramatic. Glad you two had a chat, maybe it should be kept in private. I feel like there are many people here who have no one to socialize with - so they pick the weirdest fights online for some kind of dopamine rush.
Unless you see me hyperventilating, there’s no reason to suggest or instruct me to take a deep breath. I’ve got healthy lungs.
All men want is a faithful dog and a warm pair of socks. On a more serious not, o Men s needs (for that women's needles as nwell) don't neatly fit in a box and may change day to day. I would suggest suggestmutual respect and genuine interactions are what most desire
I'm torn on the debate here over the word "desire". On one hand, I feels it can be a kind of Rorschach test where we're each seeing in it our own perspectives and biases and it will absolutely mean different things to each of us. That hand says "don't get too stuck on it". On the other hand, words do matter and we try to consider our audience when we choose them. That's hard on the internet where we do come from such a variety of backgrounds and there will never be a universal consensus. Remember we're not all liberal arts majors with a finely tuned command of the nuances of the language. Heck, some of us may not even be native English speakers and are doing really well!
My own wants and desires are fickle creatures, and while there may be an underlying current it can be tough to pick out at times. I want to feel like I'm making a positive difference in the world, life with a greater purpose then just myself. I want to feel like I'm growing and not living a life stagnant. I want to feel like I'm living more often than I'm existing. A good cuddle can help!
