  • Do you guys ever feel it isn't necessary to justify your opinion? Ever? Is it possible to make a statement and let it be the statement? Rewording your position is not really advancing anything. But i guess i could have just not made this statement. I need to follow my own advice and stfu sometimes.

  • I would harken back to ancient traditions and offer layaways and accept Green Stamps for payment but only if they are in an official Green Stamps booklet. I might even get crazy and offer a barter system—hugs in exchange for tender acts of kindness and self-awareness.

  • @FitSmartCuddler clearly not. I’m not a creeper so I won’t be able to understand. It seems you don’t understand what the 30 people in this forum are trying to explain either…

Perhaps you should get on a different site that aligns with how you feel instead of ranting about it on a forum with a community of people who actually understand what Platonic Cuddling is… 🤷‍♀️

  • @cuddlemepurple6 you said: "Perhaps you should get on a different site that aligns with how you feel instead of ranting about it on a forum with a community of people who actually understand what Platonic Cuddling is… "

Maybe you can explain it to me. Since "Platonic" simply means "non-sexual" or "non-romantic," is any activity described as "Platonic"--Platonic lunch meetups, platonic dancing, platonic conversations, platonic cuddling--equally acceptable with anyone you can describe as someone you have a non-sexual or non-romantic (i.e., Platonic) relationship with? Coworkers, family members, teachers, neighbors, your accountant, et al.?

@FitSmartCuddler Out of curiosity, are you using an AI for generative replies?

The syntax—and these double dashes—are very much inline with AI responses.

At the risk of making this all about me, I have to say that I will never be a Pro. Could I? Of course. But to me, as soon as my avocation turns into my vocation, I fear I will lose my joy for it. What I offer as a cuddler is deeply personal I would feel diminished to put a price tag on it.

This is not a judgement nor a condemnation for those who are able to provide this service in a way that allows them to make a living. I agree with @charlesgrove. Agreements between consenting adults whether monetary or otherwise are all choices, but it’s not fair to say all men would charge if they could because preferences and inclinations are as unique as the people who have them.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@SweetlyBlissful No, of course all men would not, some for the same reasons you stated. But I think it is fair to say more would than are doing so now. I kind of liken it to YouTube videos - some make them for the love of it, some hope to get monetized, and some fall under both categories.

  • @CharlesGrove you asked "@FitSmartCuddler Out of curiosity, are you using an AI for generative replies?"

    Nope.

  • [Deleted User]CharlesGrove (deleted user)

I felt better about it when I thought it was an AI prank…

  • There is so much to unpack about this post

This post is not about pro cuddlers who are men. I have meet one and know of another through another pro. Both are above board and professional. Those interested should book men who are pro cuddlers.

The poster believes Platonic cuddling" is somewhat of a myth. Enough said

There are so many amazing professional cuddlers on this site. I just happy to have meet a few and enjoyed amazing times from coffee and tea time, to beach cuddles, forest cuddle, public park lunch snd cuddles to an appointment for reiki, another for healing massage, to yoga and cuddles , workout and cuddle, a last minute theatre friend in London Uk, to real cuddle time.

I can not say enough GOOD THINGS about CC and the amazing professional cuddlers.

  • @FitSmartCuddler

I’m not obligated to explain anything to you. I also am not willing to discuss anything with someone who clearly doesn’t care about the responses of anyone in this forum.

It’s not my responsibility to “help you understand”.
If you don’t get it, that’s your responsibility to figure it out and maybe be more open minded to all the people in here trying to help you get it.

Also, I completely think your answers back are AI generated as well.

Good luck with your question you’re not willing to hear other people’s answers to. ✌️

  • I don’t understand why he joined cuddle comfort if he doesn’t believe in platonic cuddling….is that not the point of the site?

  • @CuddyBuddy14 Why is it disingenuous? You do realize that pros also book other pros, yes? 🤣

  • @CharlesGrove you said: "I felt better about it when I thought it was an AI prank…"

What do you feel bad about?

@cuddlemepurple6 you said "It’s not my responsibility to “help you understand”.
If you don’t get it, that’s your responsibility to figure it out"

You've accused me of saying something creepy and weird. If you're going to make such an accusation, I think you do have a responsibility to offer a rational explanation for why. You haven't done this; you seem to want to simply attack and stoke more conflict. I think you're misintepreting my comments; my position is the opposite of creepy and weird, and I'm happy to explain why for your benefit though I've already done it several times.

  • @Backscratch75 you said "The poster believes Platonic cuddling" is somewhat of a myth. Enough said"

I explained exactly what I meant in my original comment. If you disagree with the specifics of what I said, tell me why.

    @FitSmartCuddler
You're not a cuddle pro , and if you were you wouldn't really be high on the list for women who are wanting to cuddle so it's an irrelevant hypothetical that you are just using as a point of contention to create forum drama. It's disingenuous, and is a thinly veiled swipe at cuddle pros.

I know what you're doing. You're very transparent. Basically low key trolling. This is nothing new nor useful. Stop!

@brownglucose you said: "I don’t understand why he joined cuddle comfort if he doesn’t believe in platonic cuddling….is that not the point of the site?"

I never said I "don't believe" in cuddling--I explained that the "platonic" part is somewhat of a myth in that there's a certain level of intimacy involved in pressing up close with someone, your skin against theirs, your face in their face or hair. It may not be sexual but it's beyond the normal "platonic" interactions one would engage in with, say, coworkers or my nieces.

If you disagree and feel that "platonic cuddling" as defined by this website is an appropriate mode of "platonic" interaction with anyone you have "platonic" relationships with such as coworkers or family members ... you're entitled to your opinion but we just see it differently.

No, I'm not just trying to create drama and I'm not being disingenuous. I'm entirely sincere. And no, it's not an irrelevant hypothetical that I've created. I was responding to a question (and mindset) that I've seen raised several times in this forum--i.e., some people seem to believe that any man who has the potential to get paid for cuddling would take advantage of it and become a pro cuddler and I've been trying to explain why some would not want to do that. I'm not insisting that everyone should feel the same way I do.

"I know what you're doing. You're very transparent. Basically low key trolling. This is nothing new nor useful. Stop!"

No, I'm not trolling, as I just explained.

So… you are asserting that you will refuse to provide a service… that no one has asked for.

Clearly you have won bonus points…

What kind of bonus, and what those points might be redeemed for, I hesitate to guess.

  • edited January 2025

@CharlesGrove you said: "So… you are asserting that you will refuse to provide a service… that no one has asked for"

Not exactly. There's no need to refuse something no one has asked for. I'm asserting that if there was more of a demand for pro male cuddling and I could cuddle and get paid for it, I wouldn't for the reasons I've already stated. This is a response to what some in these groups have expressed a belief about.

  • @FitSmartCuddler

I don’t have to explain to you why your comment was creepy…

I found it creepy. Point blank. It’s weird to talk about your family, especially your nieces in a way that insinuates that the connection to this site and what way you spend your time with them is the same.

The amount of conflict that you’ve provoked in this forum because of your inability to look at a different angle than the one you’re stuck on is not my problem. There’s over 20 different people in here trying to explain to you what the difference is and you’ve argued with every single one of them.

My opinion is, I find you to be creepy and I would feel uncomfortable if I was your brother/sister who had these nieces of yours, if I found out that you were mentioning them on a cuddling forum. There’s no connection and if you think there is… this site is not for you.

You can either ask your question and actually read the responses of those in the forum who are trying to help you understand or you can just be at a loss with your weird statements and questions.

  • @cuddlemepurple6 you said "I found it creepy. Point blank. It’s weird to talk about your family, especially your nieces in a way that insinuates that the connection to this site and what way you spend your time with them is the same."

I guess I didn't explain myself clearly. My point was that "Platonic cuddling", as defined by this site, involves a certain level of intimacy that would not be appropriate in the usual "platonic" interactions I have with everyone else I have a "platonic" relationship with--coworkers, neighbors, teachers, my accountant, and yes, family members.

So it looks like we're in agreement after all! :-)

    “Hear ye! Hear ye!

    Good people of Cuddletown!

I stand proudly before you today to say that I slayed no dragon today, BUT EVEN IF I HAD, I am still heroic enough that I would never accept payment.

Keeping you safe from dragons today was my duty, and my pleasure!

Have a blessed night, Good Townpeople!”

  • @CharlesGrove So, anyone who isn't interested in accepting payment for cuddling is deserving of ridicule ... ?

  • @FitSmartCuddler
Maybe the problem is with how you express yourself, word choices, etc aren’t working well for you?
(I certainly can’t claim to be the best at that myself.)
Many of us are misunderstood at times and that leads to arguments.
Your username is an automatic turnoff IMO.
Some may feel you’re not that self aware.

  • edited January 2025

    @FitSmartCuddler
No, but anyone who doesn't expect payments for cuddles isn't deserving of accolades, especially when it's an imaginary hypothetical from someone who nobody would pay for their cuddles to begin with, and is only presented for the purpose to soft troll and slight pros. You are ridiculous, your posts are ridiculous, and I refuse to take you seriously.

  • @g_w_t_w you said "Maybe the problem is with how you express yourself, word choices, etc aren’t working well for you?"

I do the best I can. ;-) Some people seem to just like arguing. What a shocker for the Internet, huh??

  • @pmvines said "No, but anyone who doesn't expect payments for cuddles isn't deserving of accolades"

    I never asked for accolades.

"especially when it's an imaginary hypothetical"

It's not imaginary, as I've already explained. It's a response to the belief, stated more than once by others in various chats, that any man who could charge for cuddling would.

" from someone who nobody would pay for their cuddles to begin with and is only presented for the purpose to soft troll and slight pros."

You seem to have a commitment to believing that people who say things you don't like or agree with are "trolling". I respectfully suggest that you try to be a little more open-minded.

" You are ridiculous, your posts are ridiculous, and I refuse to take you seriously."

That's entirely your prerogative. At least some people seem to think this is a worthwhile topic and there have been a number of insightful and illuminating comments IMO.
