What's your "dessert" cuddle?

I appreciate all the feedback I have received from this post:

https://cuddlecomfort.com/forum/discussion/23289/a-question-for-female-cuddlers-only

One of the responses was from @Mare_Bear which was "Ask and wait," which is what I usually do anyway. Come to think of it, when there's 10-15 minutes left in a session, I typically ask my cuddler if she wanted to listen to my heart and/or if I may listen to her heart. I'd like to call this my "dessert". Why "dessert", you ask? Because I'm reminded of a certain line from a Pink Floyd song. Yes, THAT line..."If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding? HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YOUR MEAT?"

What I mean by all that is that I want to establish trust and connection with my cuddler. Come to think of it, the session doesn't have to start with a cuddle. It can start with a hug, an eye gaze, hand holding, sitting back to back, or take some deep breaths together. Once it's all established, then we go into cuddling.

This leads to my question:

If you had just 10-15 minutes left in your cuddle session, what would your "dessert" cuddle be (and it doesn't have to be a cuddle position) and why?

  • Appetizer: hugging, chatting, getting to know one-another, stretching, meditation
    main course: heart listening, spooning,
    Desserts: holding them, deeper convo, gentle rocking, music.

  • I just recently learned this. A friend used her fingernails to go up my neck into my scalp. It gave me physical ASMR. I don’t get it from sounds.

  • I often ask cuddlers what they would like to wrap up with, but I don't usually have any final requests, myself. I like to switch sides and positions throughout the cuddle so no one's arm falls asleep and to keep things fresh, so there's not really anything I'm waiting for or working up to. I enjoy the time together and there's not any one position, sensation, or experience that I'm looking to obtain.

    @Adento I'll have to use this as my own template and adjust as I see fit.

    @SunsetSnuggles Good to know!

  • It really depends on the connection and who I’m cuddling. A sleepy spoon to end seems to be common.

  • I like this concept... I always try to let my cuddler know when we are entering the last 5-10mins... I like the way you think.

  • @DaSuTro Glad it helps! 😌

  • I think the entire cuddle is one big dessert

  • I didn't know other people did this! I've also offered my heartbeat as well as a scalp or shoulder massage sometimes. I love massaging people.
