Nothing about a toilet suggests platonic comfort

edited June 2025 in General

Ladies. Women. All female cuddlers.

Why do so many of you take pictures in the toilet? Serious question.

I know, at least you posted a picture. I will give you that. But a toilet? Does anyone have time to help me to understand?

By toilet I mean in the restroom or bathroom not on the commode.

    Apparently Ladies socialise in the loos of clubs and up-market restaurants. Not like us blokes who just wee and leave. That doesn't include the 100 club though. You would probably get dysentry if you stayed more than 2 minutes :)

    A lot of men do it too, it's not really a gender thing.

    I believe it's because of the mirrors. "Oh look, I look great, I'll take a mirror selfie."

    The other one of course is taking selfies in cars. I believe this is something to do with the lighting, but I don't know what.

  • Sounds like you’re receiving private picture from someone? I’ve never seen a “toilet selfie” on here, but that’s the proper term!

  • This is hilarious cause sometimes the lighting is cute, but yeah the toilet in the background can ruin the aesthetic 😂😂😂😂 but to each their own.

    Simple reason why women take selfies in bathrooms. Much larger mirrors and they are showing off their fit or look after touching other make-up. Guys generally don’t take photos of themselves. Guys like taking photos of things. Though guys into fashion, shows, brand name clothing or showing off their make-up do take selfies in bathrooms

    @CuddleDuncan we must frequent different London drinking estabkishments. Never seen a bog photo from a bloke! I'm going to the Lexington later to see a band. I'll see what I can do! :)

    @cuddlyDavid I've seen millions on dating apps when checking out the opposition. I've also seen some on here: however, on here they tend to get deleted because the kind of man who takes bathroom selfies tends to do it topless, and topless photos of men are not permitted unless very obviously in context (e.g. while swimming).

    You are right about the drinking establishments though. It's rare that I've seen guys actually taking the photo. It's never in a pub, and it's never in a genuinely fancy bar or restaurant. I think I've only ever seen it in the kind of place that thinks it's posh - and is expensive - but ..... really, really isn't. And I don't go to that kind of place on purpose.

  • @CuddleDuncan I think you are spot on. I can't afford those places and wouldn't go even if I could. When I go out its normally to see a band in Camden or Islington. Occasionly I go to the west end

  • Anyone can crop out a toilet. If you see the toilet, know it was intentional. A power move to weed out the weak-willed.

    (I'm totally kidding, I also have no idea. I do have a trash can in one of my pfps but I covered it with stickers lol)

  • I personally only do toilet pics if they are action selfies, or to demonstrate dominance

  • That and tongue pics. Why do women like to stick their tongues out in pics looking like dogs..

  • I could see the appeal of taking a 'restroom selfie' in the restroom of a posh restaurant or nicer club. Yes, the larger mirror, but more importantly, a mirror that's clean without having to clean it yourself. A streak-free mirror is nice.

  • @URSafeNMyArms 😆😆😆 its really not that deep. There is a mirror. Probably good light as well. I'm wondering though, how is this not platonic?

  • Here's my fave potty selfie
    Enjoy!

  • There’s a big mirror in most bathrooms, champ.

    But do go on trying to get clout with this type of tired post.

    It’s because lack of self awareness is rampant on here. A conclusion I’ve come to from looking at many of the photos people choose to represent themselves. My own might be criticized but at least I’m sincere and made the effort to post one.

  • Big clean mirrors. I see them more on dating sites though.

  • @Auroradream I was totally thinking to take the same pic!!! (Ok, similar....cuz I don't have the same cute jammies 😎)

    @gem7 😂😂😂 Love it!

    Here's one I found:

  • If I took bathroom photos, it would simply be down to good lighting and a large mirror in a hotel, as I have neither in my humble abode. 😉

  • Usually better lighting, and I dunno. Work selfies :p

  • Why do American bathroom pics never have a bath? Answers on a postcard to the usual address....

    no derogatory comments please. -Stormy Stardate: 06, 28, 2025

  • Comment was zero percent derogatory

  • Just because you disagree with it doesn't make it derogatory

  • Haha funny topic lol. I'm horrible at taking mirror selfies let alone the bathroom. But I'm guilty on the car selfies lol!

    @Auroradream Great pic! Love the jammies
    @RedFox16 that's too funny 🤣😂
    @pmvines you're so silly 😜

  • Why was the toilet in my selfie?

    Because I wanted to show everyone I'm finally flushing with success!

    The Royal Flush: Why Your Toilet-Throne Selfie Reigns Supreme

    You want to show your toilet in a selfie because if the toilet is your throne, then featuring it in your photo is the ultimate power move! It's not just a bathroom fixture; it's a statement.

    Here's why you'd proudly display your porcelain perch:

    • You're the Monarch of Your Domain: It signifies that you're in charge, the undisputed ruler of your personal kingdom. Every king or queen needs their throne, and yours just happens to be porcelain.

    • A Symbol of Unapologetic Comfort and Confidence: There's an undeniable comfort and vulnerability that comes with the toilet. By showing it, you're projecting a vibe of being so secure and confident in who you are that you can even embrace the most "unconventional" aspects of your space.

    • It's Unexpected and Memorable: In a sea of curated, perfect selfies, a photo featuring your "throne" is instantly unique and attention-grabbing. It sparks curiosity and conversation, making your picture stand out from the crowd.

    • A Touch of Humor and Relatability: Let's be honest, everyone uses a toilet. There's a humorous and relatable element to acknowledging this universal experience. It shows you don't take yourself too seriously and can find the humor in everyday life.

    So, go ahead and claim your rightful place on your throne! What kind of crown will you be wearing in your selfie?

  • I'm a bit throne by this conversation.
