@Bear I agree 💯 for almost a decade principles took a backseat to life needs but I was really young and learning to survive. Today I would say no, unless I knew for sure my principles would change the whole outlook of those the money came from.
That in itself would still be a conversation before any contact was signed.

Six Figures so $100k annually is such a low number. For a single-income person that's just about the break even point for having your bases covered. This isn't money to buy a ranch, retire early, or even get a weekend sports car.
At this point in my life and career Six Figures isn't break your principals sort of money. It's the absolute bottom level of compensation I'd consider to take the interview.
Depends on how egregious it is. Like, I've made 6 figs working for companies whose parent companies made some pretty stomach-turning decisions. But were there human rights violations involved? Also yes, but technically they were legal, so we're kosher here. 🤡
In my honest opinion, most companies do some pretty nasty stuff, or try to get away with as much as they can. I can only do so much to fight this - which I do, when I can - but when the ugly feeling inside encroaches a little too close to my heart, I move on to the next job.

Interesting perspective. I don't see anything "douchey" or otherwise negative about the way he expressed the idea that if you're going to sell your soul, you want to get paid enough to make it worthwhile.
I already make six figures at my job .. I would Not work someplace or do anything that goes against what I believe in , no matter what.. no amount of money .

The question is an old question. I was pointing out that it doesn't scale with the current value of money. Back in 1999 in Office Space they mention what would you do with a million dollars. If you asked that question today the smart answer would be that you invest it and go find a job. A million sounds nice but it's just not what it once was.
So in order to break things out of my own perspective here.

Going further down on that link you'll find a table of average salaries broken out by job categorization. The categories of Business, Management, Engineering, Computer, Legal, Social Science and Healthcare all have average salaries exceeding $85k with the caveat that Life, Physical and Social Science is $84,680. Three of them are at or exceed six figures.
Going back to the question that was asked is about betraying your own principles for SIX FIGURES which I pointed out as being only $100k.
As you can see from the data here the point I am making is not that I am particularly successful. My job category would be Engineering & Architecture so at my income I am barely above the baseline average of $93k.
