I’ve been on CC for a long time and have have seen more pros than most. I’ve never had a pro ask me to sign a form nor have I had a pro ask to take a picture of my drivers license or my license plate. If a pro asked me to sign a form, I would decline, if they asked me to take a picture of my license, I would decline, if they asked to take a pic of my license plate, I would find that extremely creepy and would run for the hills.
I work for a public utility and we have to gain access to several private residences as well as businesses. If anyone asks to see my ID, I will show them my work ID but won’t allow them to take a picture of it and I definitely won’t show them my DL. If we have to leave an ID as collateral for something like a key at a business, we are issued a special ID to use for that purpose but I will not leave my DL or my official company ID.
The only time I will allow anyone at work to see my ID is if I am working at an official government facility such as at the police station etc Otherwise, no one has any business seeing my ID and especially taking a picture of it.
I highly recommend no client on CC let a pro take a picture of your DL.
@TheFunCartel I think we all know there are definitely some folks on here who would be open to a monster cuddle. @Katota lookin at you. 🤣
Such a lovely morning! 🌞 Enjoying my pumpkin 🎃 spice latte , watching the NYC Marathon 🏃♂️ before going to church.. ⛪️ Maybe some shopping 🛍️ later today after tennis.. 🎾 Life is good.. ☕️ Happy cuddling Everyone! 🤗 Stay safe!
Nope
I highly recommend not going to a strangers home….especially , the married ones ..( does the spouse know? Will that person be there or walk in unexpectedly and lash out at me? Will I be in harms way?) Meet your cuddler client in person at a Starbucks/cafe first .. exchange ID 🪪 .. If you still feel comfortable about going to their house, or having them go to your house ( I only host at nice Hotels/Air bnb) 🏨 🏡 make sure to call your safety person with the information to let them know where you are going and who you are with.. check your surroundings..Don’t accept drinks.. Don’t leave your key fob in your car 😃 I am very happy with the safety steps I take and no one has minded sharing their info..I have found that asking/exchanging ID weeds out many of the creepy creeper doodles .. I’m Not saying you’re a creepy creeper doodle if you don’t want to show your ID.. you can always see someone else who isn’t as cautious .. to each their own.. since adding ID checking to my safety protocol, I have not had any “ issues” .. my cuddle clients are very polite, respectful.. like perfect angels! 😇 They don’t talk vulgar 🤮 or ask for “ extras” , they don’t come out of the bathroom nude like dirty stinky little piglets 🐖 … they keep their clothing on and they understand what Platonic means., they are so pleasant and lovely 😊
I do exchange full names with partners. I ask for ID. All I want to see is that their full name & picture match. I am fine exchanging IDs as well. We just blot out address & ID#. I do a search on the national sex registry with their full name & a simple background check for criminal records. Safety is my upmost concern when meeting with a stranger.
Edit: I did the same with the Pro I met. Just because I'm paying him it doesn't ensure my safety. I also have someone I check in with once I meet with the new partner & when I'm done. That person also has my location & can track me if need be.
Hi I’m Matthew, I love to cuddle and talk (optional). I’m sweet and respectful. I’m 6’3, 200 lbs. I love food Tex-mex specifically I’m very open and eat to get ahold of. Feel free to reach out, matty
Just FYI, it’s my understanding that tattoo artists ask to see drivers license, and in some states it is required legally for massage therapists, like Florida. I think if you’re going to be in a vulnerable situation, it’s wise to get some factual info. As a massage therapist myself- and we can get a lot of creepers and dangerous people on our tables- requiring a DL pic practically eliminates creepers. If you don’t have anything to hide, I don’t see what the concern would be.
@KKathleen I have nothing to hide but I’m not opening myself up to identity theft.
I remember when you could get anyone's name, address and number just from looking in the phone book.
By a professional using a form like that they running into risking a lawsuit because of the FTC guidelines on Personal Identitifing Information. The fines not to mention the lawsuits that can be filed against them is unbelievable. Please do your homework before you fill that form out or hand it to a client. I could go into a dissertation on this however I will spare all of you of that.
@helpmerelax businesses are allowed to collect sensitive personal information. What the laws cover is requirement to protect said information and disclosure to the clients about how their information is being used. Laws like the GDPR and CCPA further stipulate how the clients can control the usage of their information, including requesting data deletion.
In other words, pro cuddlers and other service providers can legally ask for whatever information they want. A client can ask how their information will be used and stored, and if they don't agree with it they should not do business with that professional. The pro must protect the data they collect and are liable if the collection results in identity theft for the client. Depending on the jurisdiction, a client can also request their information be removed at any time and the professional would have to comply within a certain time frame.
If a business uses practices that you don't agree with, then they are not the right fit for you. Instead of blaming the business for exercising their legal rights, find a provider you would be comfortable working with.
@cuddlefaery Very interesting post.
@cuddlefaery ... Wouldn't those requirements be for businesses that are registered? It would surprise me that most pro cuddlers on here are registered LLCs or with the states in which they reside. I would be very wrong though.
Giving and receiving a hug has become such a complicated legal minefield.
@jps76 a form with her name, address and to make sure she’s added you as an additional insured on her GL policy.
It can be dangerous out there and not everyone on the site has good intentions. Personally, I would not use a document like this but I do reiterate that this is a platonic meet and I require a first/last name and real phone number (not voip) from people I meet up with.
I wouldn't let anyone into my home, for any reason, without at least knowing their name. And if they are coming to my home, then they have my address and can find out my name pretty quickly. Then Spokeo can tell them everything else they might want to know.
