Professional Cuddlers that don't respond?

  • I always respond. Not necessarily because I "owe" someone a response but because I think it's tough to get a feel for someone through 1 simple message. One of the things that makes me a good pro is not only because I am an extraordinary cuddler but also because I approach my cuddle business just like I approach my full time business. I offer top notch customer service from the first prompt response, through the scheduling process, the cuddle and the follow up. If someone takes the time to contact me than I will take the time to respond even if it's a quick, polite "no thank you".

There are times when I’m ignored by pros and non-pros, but I accept it. I know some of them look at my profile and don’t reply back to my message. I send messages to multiple cuddlers and I usually get replies, but not all of them reply.

I second what @Scarlette just posted above. Her approach to the cuddle biz really warrants the "Professional" tag; not just in the sense that she gets paid, but because she approaches her business with what used to be commonly viewed as "professionalism." We've fallen a long way as a culture when we can go into a business --- any business in any line of work --- and feel like our potential clients are somehow acting _entitled _ by expecting a response to a sincere and polite inquiry. Those who say nobody "owes" you a response are technically correct, but it's possible they are missing the bigger picture.

Pro cuddling strives to depict itself as a kind of therapy. People make profiles describing themselves as caring and comforting. They talk about what good listeners they are, and how they want to make someone's day better. Then some poor touch-deprived soul contacts the touch therapy provider--- and hears nothing but dead air. The unspoken message being sent is "I care so little for you and your situation that I won't bestir myself to acknowledge your existence. Because I don't feel like it." Kind of shoots a hole in the in the caregiver vibe.

What if you left a message at a realtor, a car repair shop, a marriage counselor, or a visiting nurses association --- and got no response at all? . Would you feel disrespected, insulted, depressed, ticked off? Would you plaster bad reviews all over Yelp? If your answer is yes to any of those, wouldn't it be better to treat your potential cuddle clients the way you yourself want to be treated? Especially in an industry devoted to dispensing human kindness, "be nice" seems a better business model than "I don't owe you that."

I'm curious as to why a pro would decline a potential customer, assuming the message sent was respectful.

@RScarf1 - Age, race, height, marital status aka "personal preference".

Thank you chococuddles. I think physical attractiveness may also be a reason. Of course, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I've cuddled people that are married and single. It doesn't matter to me about their marital status, as long as their husband does not mind. I've been rejected due to age a couple of times (that I know of because they told me), but that was from non-pros. I never thought about height as being a reason, but I'm not tall. I could understand non-pros declining to cuddle with someone for these reasons, but I didn't think all these things mattered to some pros. This website Cuddle Comfort is different from other cuddling websites. When a cuddler works for a website that has just pros, they can't reject someone for these reasons or they can get fired. I've been rejected only once when meeting a cuddler and I told the company that I was willing just to go eat with her and she didn't even want to do that. The company said that she would be fired if it happened again with another customer. She was lying about her age and she still kept her job, but they don't like it when they treat customers like that. Personal preference matters to some, as you stated. I've met very good-looking cuddlers who accepted me. I hope an experience like being rejected by a cuddler in person never happens to me again. If they want to reject me before meeting them in person, then fine.

  • I can only speak for myself but I'm not prejudice over any of those things. I cuddle any age, any height, any race ... I don't even ask for a picture until the last minute and strictly for security reasons and sometimes I don't even do that. If you need a good cuddle, you are respectful and you understand platonic cuddling than I will cuddle the heck outta you!!!

I attempt to respond to every email from a new person within 24 hours. I also don't discriminate any walk of life, social status, etc. I will respond even if I would prefer you have more information in your profile and a picture, but those are not deal breakers. I know this has been posted on many threads of similar topics - if you really are interested in a Cuddle, please say more than "hey" in your first message.

As for continuous replies back and forth emails - I have a harder time with this.

If you are genuinely interested in Cuddling, we can get to know each other while wrapped in each other's arms in a horizontal fashion. 400 back and forth emails prior to meeting is lost cuddle time for both parties.

  • I think the main reason a pro wouldn't reapond is if you come off as agressive/dramatic/or disrespectful. Personally I've never heard another professional complain and say they declined a cuddle because of physical appearence, and Ive chatted with quite a few girls thus far (:

Pros who are here for platonic cuddling usually respond to me. Some other pros look at my profile and ignore my message, then ill hit them up on an alt and make a lewd comment and they respond.

Those profiles usually get found by Mark and deleted though.

    @Alternis HAHAHAHA!

In response to @RScarf1 "I'm curious as to why a pro would decline a potential customer, assuming the message sent was respectful."

If the message was respectful and the sender received no reply it would be difficult to think it would be anything other than age, race, attractiveness, etc. Of course taking into account the pro has been seen online multiple times after the email was received.

  • If your message was respectful and inquiring about a session, I don't understand why a professional would not respond. I am sorry to those of you who have had negative experiences. As a pro myself, excellent customer service is a top priority for me. I respond to every inquiry I receive with possible exceptions being inappropriate messages or a one word "Hey." Looks, age, disabilities, orientation etc make no difference to me. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, respect and cuddles without exception. I absolutely believe in pros being held accountable for unprofessional or unethical conduct as well as discrimination. This is a new adventure we are all exploring together, so please have patience as we wobble our way toward a more stable and solid footing. Some duds will inevitably slip through the cracks, but I promise there are many of us here who truly do care!! ❤

Yes, chococuddles. If I send someone a message and she doesn’t respond and she logged in after I sent the message, then I know she is not interested.

I don’t think that I have ever had a pro cuddler not respond to messages. Even if they were not in my area.

I have had many good people respond and continue to talk with some of them regularly.

  • I’ve only seen two pro cuddlers in about two years. My other cuddle sessions have been with non pros and one of the reasons I haven’t had more sessions with a pro is because they don’t respond to messages even though they’re active on the site. I think this is due to the fact that there are very few real pro cuddlers on the site. The ones that actually use this as a source of income and they also enjoy the cuddling aspect of it.
The others just see it as a good idea but don’t take the time and also are extremely selective as to whom they cuddle with.

  • I can see why someone would be frustrated. It's a matter of respect to respond back, Professional or not. Maybe I was taught differently but I like to greet people and thank them for viewing my profile as well as responding to every message as soon as I can.

  • I respond back to most messages . Nothing on the profile , nothing but let’s cuddle in the message I don’t bother . Starting with non platonic request I will just report and block . I’ve had great conversations with people I’ve met here . Answering messages I think is professional .

  • I answer everyone who messages me, regardless of the reason for messaging, and regardless of age, race, sex, or really... anything. I’ve never ignored or not replied someone striking up a conversation here.

... Unless I'm horribly sick and I don't get notified through my phone, confusingly, like the last couple of days...

  • @Lorelei - feel better!!! That sounds awful. It's hard to keep on top of anything when you are sick. Hopefully, you will be back on your feet soon and Cuddling again :-)

@AlexBabyBoo23 Thank you for the compassion. ^^’ And Yes! I hope so, too. :) I just feel bad for making my clients wait while I was sick; even though it couldn’t be helped, I do want them to know I care.

  • In my opinion, in any profession where you are offering a paid for service it is unprofessional not to respond to an inquiry. If the request is unacceptable, just respond 'Not interested' or some other excuse. Part of the responsibility of calling yourself a Pro is being able to deal with difficult or unpleasant people.

  • I respond to pretty much everyone unless a message or request is inappropriate or rude I report and block . Not worth my time . Otherwise I think if you are going to be a pro you should respond.
