I had a pro text me then block me because I took too long to send a tip after our session. Should a tip be immediately after, as they claim?
Tips are not mandatory. The pro should not be asking you for tips. Only thing outside of the hourly rate is possibly but still not mandatory to include travel fee that yall agree to.
Their loss. Greedy.

Do you tip any other service you use later? I would apply your personal rules to that. Just like tipping isn’t required at a restaurant or while getting a massage, it’s appreciated.
@LetsCuddle44 Tipping culture is out of control!! Absolutely no one should be "asking" for a tip. We all know that when we go to a restaurant- it's generally expected, but still not required. Tipping a cuddle buddy (even a "professional" one) would be absurd unless they're a massage therapist and they also give you a back, neck, or shoulder massage. If you're being asked, I'd say you're "good" not to have done it in the first place. Don't give it another thought!

I'm sorry, why would I tip someone who is an independent contractor to begin with? They already receive the whole fee, don't they?
@Circle5 I like to add a tip as a way to show extra appreciation after a particularly helpful or meaningful cuddle session. Like “that was even nicer than I expected, thank you”.
I’m a dog sitter. I get tips from time to time and it’s really awesome when I do get them especially since some clients are very generous but I NEVER expect them. I think I’m already charging enough for what I do. And I agree, tipping culture is out of control. I heard even some self-service gas stations were asking for tips at the pump.

And no, she shouldn’t be asking for a tip. That’s rude. You don’t ever need to give a tip. If you really want to, great. I’m always super grateful for when it happens but I’m never sitting there with my hand out expecting more than what it’s supposed to be.

Tips make some sense when the person can't set their own prices. But this person set their own price.
Actually, the site charges 15% for women. Guys have a flat monthly rate that they have to pay regardless of bookings but no percentage on top. But not many women use the service.
My response to someone asking for tips, " quit asking for tips."
@great_pillow08 Totally agree with your comment. I have run into a few pro cuddlers that talk about tips on their profiles and it's a huge turn off. I tend to avoid them. It's great to see that it's a small percentage of pros that ask for tips
Pros asking for tips just seems greedy and I would not like that if I were a client. Very entitled attitude imo.

Tipping overall has gotten way out of hand in our society.
My rules of thumb are, always tip people delivering food, always tip bartenders unless the bartender is exceptionally slow/inattentive and tip at restaurants only if three conditions are met
Have places now that have a "would you like to leave a tip?" Window popup when it's self checkout and my order is to go lol ridiculous.
If you own the business/are self employed there should be no expectation for a tip and it's extremely tacky to ask for it.

There's alot of pros who put in their profile something like "the site charges me 15%, so please tip accordingly" . . . interestingly, such pros are usually already at the higher end of the price scale. Tipping is not obligatory on this site, but if you feel that a pro deserves more than her hourly rate, it's perfectly fine to pay her more.
And before anyone jumps on me about this, there's far more pros who DO NOT put such things in their profiles.
The pros should have the site cut factored into their pricing so that they are satisfied with what they keep after giving the site their cut. Anyone who expects that the site cut is covered by the client via a tip is just looking for the best of both worlds.
I always cover the 15%. It's the least I can do.
Everyone here is free to set their own price that customers will agree to. If they want to net a certain amount, they can do the math and set their price. It’s not like they’re being paid a tipped wage by CC and required to only charge a specific amount. Tip-begging (and it is begging) is tacky.
Why would you tip a pro cuddler, they set their own prices. If they want say a 15% tip they can simply increase their prices by 15%.
The only people you should be tipping is the delivery drivers. You are likely paying only a few dollars or even zero to get your food delivered, how much do you think the drivers make? + gas, wear and tear on vehicle, rain/shine/snow, more driving means more traffic risks, risk of dog bites, risks of getting shot cause they accidentally ended up on the wrong driveway ... the list is endless.
@partsunknow I’m with you on tipping Pro Cuddlers and I actually was one for a short time and I still agree with you. Re: delivery drivers - I door dashed for 7 months last year and it was brutal!! So much work for so little $$$ Majority of people do not tip. Or if they did, it was $1. I put thousands of miles on my car, had a lot of major expenses from it. I would work 10 hrs to earn what I did in 1 hour of cuddling. I might go back to being a Pro Cuddler but will not door dash again.
@g_w_t_w exactly, this is what I meant. Why would you tip a pro cuddler who is earning $100+ per hr and why anyone else who is earning a guaranteed minimum federal/state wages. I believe in a reasonable number of states even the waitstaff make minimum state wages. I completely understand your feelings about food delivery in general and I belive that these are the people we should tip the most.
Set your price. That's the price. If you expect more. Raise the price.
