Hosting and Logistics

edited December 2025 in General

I try to be mindful of cuddler's time so my communcation before the session is usually about logistics unless they're up for some banter.

I usually ask:
Cologne yes/no
What kind of temp do you like?
And remind them I have a cat

I of course watch sheets, pillow cases, blankets. I have coconut water on hand for them.

What do you do when preparing to host. Would like more ideas

  • First thing I do is hide the bodies

  • @pmvines I knew I forgot something 🙄

  • @pmvines or make sure the fresh hole isn’t too obvious!

  • @AmberUK

Well that's why I keep a bunch of plants and potting soil laying around. Plausible deniability is key when it comes to hiding bodies on your property

    @Huggycatbear

Yep, then all you can do is hope they don't object to air freshener and cologne because you can't cover decomposition with unscented aluminum free hippie deodorant alone.

  • @pmvines haha yes. They will ask me to not weae cologne but then they use essential oils that smell like burnt trees

  • @pmvines you're too much 🤣😂
@Huggycatbear sounds to me like you're doing just fine. I've never once had anyone ask those things only just how do I like to cuddle and what are my sessions like lol. Then you have those that ask what do I wear 🙄 Every now and then they may ask me if I need anything.

  • As a sensitive smeller, I find cologne to be an offensive odor. Like you are right next to this person . Clean yourself well, use some remedy soap. Cologne is more for a date, a light herbal mist could be better for this? I’m just yapping away lol

Scrupulously clean and tidy bathroom with a clean hand towel and spare bog roll. Sanitary supplies in the cupboard, obvious as soon as you open it.

Commonest source of 'cat smell' in a house is in fact the food bowls area, so clean all of that.

I ask if they want directions or travel tips. Some people do, some people don't. A few people are offended by this question unless you phrase it very delicately: they imagine that you are implying that they are not capable of finding the place on their own.

It's not essential but you can ask if there is anything that it would be helpful for you to know. This can range from life-threatening allergies to what time their parking expires.

It's not a particularly a preparation thing, but [especially] if you are a man and your guest is a woman, ensure you are never between her and the door.

The odd body lying around isn't actually that big of a deal as long as it's fresh, and any blood etc. has been mopped up.

  • @Huggycatbear I keep bottle of Native shampoo and deodorant on hand. I’ve had at least two people that had sensitivities to chemicals. If I have time, I’ll find out what they prefer as a beverage. Remind them that I have a dog. I live on a main street next to a mechanics garage so I’ve also included pictures of the easiest way to my front door.

  • If I would host (hopefully one day), I would set my spot like a day spa. You enter and there will be snack and dry station. Fresh, clean sheets with some soft pillows. Candles set with soft background music.

Bathroom will have all amenities—starting from pads, tampons, panty liners, wet wipes, extra toilet paper, etc.

  • I ask if they want directions or travel tips... A few people are offended by this question...

At this point, I'd be hoping they'd just block me.

  • I only host in hotels when I’m traveling now a days. I just make sure everything is clean and things are put away properly. I make sure I have water in case she gets thirsty. I make sure she knows where to park. That’s really about it.

  • I host at a hermetically sealed location that I can not open for anyone because it might lose the hermetic vibe.

  • @TheFunCartel Being a hermet, you shun modern conveniences like electricity, plumbing, and oxygen.

  • I usually host at an Airbnb. I make sure the room is nice & cool. I always have a music playlist ready. There's water & electrolyte bottles in the fridge. And I ask about any sensitivities to fragrances. If it's a marathon cuddle I have fruit, nuts, & croissants for snack breaks.

  • I ask about temperature, lighting, music, allergies, preference to scents. ( I have had a request for no deodorant as they like the smell of sweat. Don't ask!)
I also ask what they would like to eat and drink and then make sure there is an array of choices based upon their answer . I have everything they would need to shower, brush teeth, deodorant and even a change of pants and clothes!!! ( I have learnt the hard way. If you want the gory details, just ask!!! 🤢)
I also put on music so that they can use the bathroom/ shower in peace without them worrying about me listening in, lol ( I love on a small flat!)
My place is sparkling clean, everything freshly laundered, like you would expect in a hotel. 😅
I offer to come down to greet people as I live 3 floors up. I also need to give them a parking permit , or meet them at the tram / bus stop as I think that is polite hosting. ☺️

  • @CuddleDuncan Wow, can't believe some people get offended by directions. Seems like people get offended by anything these days. Maybe because I live in a transient city where a lot of cuddlers come in as tourists. They always appreciate concise directions.

@natasya148 Candles and mood ligjhting is a plus! I have a lamp from IKEA that gives a lantern effect with a dial.

I have been told by more than one person they are sensitive and don't like plugins so I stopped using them. One person told me it saps testosterone.

@penguin34 Nice touch on the music so they can use the bathroom in peace. I know some people will turn the faucet so they can't be heard using the toilet. Which I understand. It's a stranger's place.

And hopefully they can feel comfortable and cozy enough not to think so.
