Hi again! Thinking about hosting in my home to open the possibility of more sessions. How do I make my small couch/ living room more inviting (i do not want outside clothes in my bed. Hard NO) and how do I protect myself with giving strangers my home address? Other than requiring a photo of their license beforehand, that's the only idea I've come up with so far. And is charging a "hotel fee" okay?

    Is it usual practice to wear "outside clothes" during the session, or is it usual practice to change into something else?

    @ChemicalBob both are normal. If I'm in outside clothes I avoid jeans, wear light trousers, and remove my belt and empty my pockets before cuddling. Inside it's tee shirt and sweatpants or shorts.

    If anybody is getting changed it should be done in private e.g. in the bathroom.

    @1Sweetheart_ you can arrange to meet people in a nearby coffee shop or other suitable spot. If you are giving people your address, best practice is to give the area when making arrangments, the postcode for journey planning purposes once the Booking is made, and the full address when you confirm the appointment the evening before or day of. Ensure you are an expert in the minutiae of local parking arrangements and public transport.

    Cuddle place and bathroom must be scrupulously clean and tidy. Odours of any kind are bad. Warn people if you have pets in case they are allergic, and be clear in advance about any housemates. Candles can be a bit much, but soft lighting is helpful. Be ready to play gentle music of the kind massage therapists play, or whatever you prefer. Offer water or whatever the convention is in your part of the world. Have cushions and a blanket on standby to ensure comfort for all.

    Once you are set up for clients, consider taking a photo of the cuddle space and putting it in your profile.

    You are an independent business and so charges are a matter for you. If you do charge a 'hotel fee' then it must be clearly given on your profile. Clients on the whole don't like it, not least because most professionals charge for travel beyond a certain limit: having a hosting fee as well leaves a feeling of being trapped into paying more than the advertised rate whatever you do.
