Have you ever been blocked when your not sure what it is you have done

  • Of course. It is a right of passage here. Await further instructions for your ceremony of acceptance into the tribe.

  • You might not have done anything. Blocking isn't always about someone doing something bad. It's a boundary put in place, for any number of reasons. Maybe they realized you weren't compatible. Maybe something you said triggered a bad memory or feeling for them. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Or maybe you said something that made them feel unsafe, crossed a stated boundary, or broke site rules.

Rejection sucks, especially since we don't always get closure. Learning to accept rejection gracefully, process the emotions, and move on are essential skills - especially in a consent-forward space such as platonic cuddling.

The best thing we can do is reframe rejection as "we were not compatible after all", self-reflect on anything you would change next time, and give yourself grace for potential mistakes. You may no longer be in contact with that person, but that just opens you up towards someone who will be a better fit in the long run.

    Yep. 😁

I have been BOTH The Blocker and The Blockee. Lol 🀣

@pmvines Yay, I can't wait to show @alz480 the secret handshake we do with our FEET! 😁

    πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

  • Careful @katota that might be reported as foot fetish πŸ™„

  • I get blocked sometimes if i view a profile a few times before saying anything.

But i mean alot of times theres nothing to be said since my questions are answered in the bio.

  • @pmvines Ooh! 😲

You're right, how about the SECOND secret handshake with our KNEECAPS...Eh?! 😏😊

    Kneecaps. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

  • @Katota

Yes, I do believe kneecaps are safe from the cuddle comfort kink detectors

  • @pmvines Depends on what someone might be planning to do with those kneecaps.

  • @alz480 I am guilty as charged. I always have a full block list, which is 200 btw! Just a few reasons for blocking; People who have made arrangements and cancelled last minute, leaving me out of pocket for work that I lost out on. People who are constantly viewing my profile, but live across the world and don't plan to book a session. People who try to bargain my prices down , or get me to agree to crazy conditions around cuddling. Or who ramble on for months about amazing our cuddle session is going to be etc... People who message me saying, I want to have a cuddle session with you so I can "learn" how become a pro. People who want to have a cuddle session to convince to to convert to their religion! People who want me to be their therapist while going through a difficult time in life...
The list goes on and on, these a just a few fine examples. πŸ˜…πŸ€¦

  • I’ve been blocked as well as blocked somebody. Just think of it as a person you don’t have to deal with any of their BS.

  • If you are not reading and actually fully understanding and reading the persons bio, that might give you the answer of why you are blocked. For example, I have as the first thing on my profile that I am not open to any new cuddlers at this time....and I still get people who reach out to me for a cuddle. For me that means you can't even take the time to read about me or you did read it and didn't care, and either way, I am not going to cuddle with you ever. So blocking is an easy way to not have to tell you again that I am not going to cuddle with you.

The other question I would ask is how are you approaching the first reach out. If you go hard and fast with, "Want to cuddle" ... that's like going up to someone at a bar and asking "Wanna do it"... most people like to get to know someone a little before agreeing to an intimate event such as cuddling. Respect the community and people and get to know someone before asking the main question. Because YES we obviously DO want to cuddle...we are on a CUDDLE WEBSITE! And we want to feel safe and that we are going to have our boundaries respected and know that you are not a creeper or a guy who thinks cuddling will get them MORE than cuddling.....nope nope nope.

And if you get blocked and don't know... I like to think that is your angels taking that person out of your life for a reason, or trying to teach you a lesson you need to learn. Either way, don't stress.. there are lots of cuddle peeps on this app.

That's my two cents... maybe a quarter....

Be a NICE HUMAN! Happy Cuddling! - Niki

  • @BlueIris

Take a bat to them debt enforcement style ?.

  • Not that I'm aware of

However, I'm quite block-trigger-happy and sometimes not even sure what They had done, but whatever it is, some of them are presumed guilty and I will never know if they were innocent, especially if their photo is non-existent or seems fake / etc

Jokes aside (or are they), I am very grateful for the Block function and will happily accept to be Blocked by anyone without reason (you don't even need one!) so long as I can do the same

    Happy blocking! :)

  • I only recall being blocked once. It was by a guy who originally asked me about one of the pros I cuddled with and if she was β€œany good” and my response was to reach out to her and book a session to see for yourself if you think you’d be a good fit. He probably didn’t like that answer very much but he was also banned shortly after, no surprise.

  • The good ole block topic. Making its round again.

  • @AmazingEmbrace always πŸ˜‚ but apparently if I bring that up and share links to past discussions, I'm being unfriendly to newbies πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

  • @cuddlefaery how dare you refer new folks to threads with founts of information. πŸ˜‚

  • Yup I’ve been blocked. For some, surprised as to why. Others maybe not so much. Later met a blocker person at a meet n greet. Did not discuss or ask why. Just accepted as that is their choice to make. No offfense to me.

  • @alz480 as noted above, some folks will block simply for you viewing the persons profile when that person feels that you don't fit some criteria (too far away, messaging too much, not messaging enough, too tall, too hairy, whatever)

Only suggestion I have is don't waste time worrying or wondering what you did. Odds are pretty good that you didn't do anything.

  • I've been blocked by people I've never had any interaction. I've been blocked by people after I communicated i didn't think this was going to be the right fit. I've been blocked by people and felt genuinely confused as the conversation had been moving along nicely. I've been blocked by people for things I've said in the forums.

I have blocked people for similar reasons.

  • @cuddlefaery. Thanks for being nice and showing hospitality 😊

    Hmmm.....Ya know, @BlueIris does have a point too. πŸ€”

@pmvines Okay, how about we do the THIRD (yet dangerously bloody 😏) secret handshake where we headbutt each other really hard until we both fall into a coma...?

    😊

    Sounds good. πŸ˜πŸ‘

  • @pmvines I just realized there IS a coma fetish out there somewhere. πŸ˜πŸ˜„

    Okay I give up! 🀷

No secret handshakes of any kind. Sorry about that.@alz480

    πŸ˜πŸ«‚

  • @Katota mustn't forget the rules of the internet πŸ˜‚πŸ«£

  • @Katota Some people do really like their punctuation.

    Oh wait, you said coma.

  • Yes I believe even by someone in the thread who I've not had an interaction with. It feels weird to me but I try to not let it bother me and just move on and forget about it.

I am on the side of using the block feature very sparingly. I currently have 5 on there. Some of which I simply blocked after seeing I was blocked with no apparent interaction or reason. I figured I'd return the favor. One was someone I thought might know me outside here and might be stalking me but I couldn't be sure. And one being definitely someone who pushed my boundaries and had to be blocked for my sanity and some peace. However I rarely block as I see no reason to do it most of the time.

I've only been blocked the once, strangely by someone on this thread! We shared good messages beforehand, agreed a time and date and I paid a deposit... Still no idea why! Would be good to know for the sake of my mental health tbh!

Lol I've never been blocked. But if I ever do, I certainly wouldn't put it in the forums

...Alright if you get blocked don't be sad, the world keeps spinning

  • Blocking is necessary sometimes. I constantly have people with blank profiles messaging me and being very pushy to setup a session. Even when I politely say no many try to message over and over trying to break you down.
Also if you come off rude, blocked.

If you get blocked and worry you said or did something reflect. That's all one can do.
On a platonic app blocks are more likely but need to be respected. Getting upset or angry achieves nothing
