Pro Cuddlers asking for extra money

Before I book a cuddle session, I read over the Pro Cuddlers bio to see if they charge any additional fees besides their hourly rate so there's no surprises when it comes to payment.

I've recently been experiencing Pro Cuddlers that ask for extra money right before our confirmed booking start time. For example, I had a cuddler who asked me to cash app her some money for an Uber since she couldnt drive because she hasn't paid her car registration. I've had other cuddlers ask for a deposit or travel fee eventhough their bio didnt state they require one.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying a deposit or other fees if the site provided a recourse for it and a way to get it back incase the cuddler doesnt show up.

How do other clients deal with these last minute hidden fees from the Pro Cuddlers? Do you pay them, do you subtract the cost of these extra fees from their hourly rate, or do just cancel the booking? I personally just cancel the booking since it feels deceptive and not professional.

I feel that being a Pro Cuddler should come with some professionalism, and asking for extra money right before a confirmed booking leaves a bad first impression. What do you guys think?

    As a pro, I agree with you, any extra fees should be laid out upfront or at least agreed-upon before the booking. If my car is in the shop, I’m either going to be renting a car or taking an Uber and putting it on my business card and deducting it as a business expense. It’s not my client’s fault if my car is not currently drivable and if you’re someone who just doesn’t have a car or doesn’t drive, then you need to be upfront that you charge for your transportation expenses or factor that in to your rate or charge per mile, etc., but it should all be listed on your profile.

    Everyone's different, but I'd assume anyone asking for a cashapp prior to ever meeting them is probably never showing up.

    I would assume that them asking for a last minute cashapp or something similar for some kind of emergency means you are getting scammed and they are never showing up.

    I mean if she's telling you she cant drive because she didn't pay her car registration do you really want to send her extra money before hand whether the story is truthful or not?

    I charge a 20% deposit for first time clients that I am traveling out of town for (in town clients don't require one). I have had clients cancel last minute, so I just need to ensure I'm not coming out of pocket for any long distance bookings that don't happen. My bio is clear that it's required for the first visit, the refund policy is outlined, and no deposit is ever required after that. Almost all of my clients turn into repeat clients, and several have thanked me for handling things professionally with written policies. I do understand that I may lose some clients over my ID and deposit requirements, but it's where I'm comfortable at.

    Would I personally send extra money to a cuddler to get there, or for any other undisclosed cost? No. We are supposed to either be very clear that there is some sort of fee or to count them among our business costs. I offer one weekend a month in a bigger city several hours away, specifically so those clients don't have to pay travel fees.

    If a practitioner doesn't feel like the right match for you, that's okay, I promise you there is one that is. But you don't need to pay a bunch of hidden fees to find them, or book someone you don't really want to. Just keep looking around 😊

    Yeah, that's shady for sure. I would cancel the booking unless it was some kind of unforeseen event or emergency. If somebody's car broke down and they had to get an uber, I would probably offer to reschedule or drive to the pro if we need to switch it to the pro hosting. Other than that, if it is not in writing, it will not get paid by me. I understand the reasoning behind deposits and stuff, but I will never understand the need to hide it until the last second. Major red flag if that happens.
