Women reaching out first

edited July 18 in General

I just had a female enthusiast message me without me initiating. This feels super rare and too good to be true.
I’d love it to be true and im going to be careful cause I don’t know if this is some sort of scam.
They don’t seem to be the sexual type that is trying to take me to another site for sex work.

Im kinda shocked
Have you guys ever been messaged by a girl first?
Or have you girls ever messaged a guy first?

If the person who messaged me sees this, there are a lot more dudes than gals on this site and I’ve never seen it happen. Trying to not get scammed 😅

  • I have never been messaged by a non male :(

  • The ones who messaged me are always banned before I am able to respond. Probably scammrs.

  • Or have you girls ever messaged a guy first?

Yes, I have messaged many men (and some women) first. All of them were Cuddle Enthusiasts. A lot don't respond back, some will block me after my messaging them...These days I don't put in much effort or even thought into messaging anyone first anymore. Lol. It is what it is. 😀🤷😏

  • I don’t see any reason why a woman would hesitate to initiate conversation. It sounds like you are receptive to it so you might as well assume the best. Until you have reason not to

  • @Katota that sucks they would block you
    That’s weird

As a pro I try to message everyone who views my profile! So this may be uncommon but it’s not completely unheard of. :)

  • @WarmCalmEmbrace im testing that theory 😂

  • I am a pro and message my profile visitors. Tho not every one. I enjoy reading the profile and they get a message. I have met cool folks!

  • I will occasionally message someone if they have an interesting username or picture (and neither username nor picture puts me off) and an interesting profile. In range would be nice. Sadly, there's not many people in any of those categories. Sometimes I'll message because of what I see of them in the forums.

  • Im kinda shocked

Don't be shocked. Just send a polite response and go from there. Don't just assume something nice happening is a scam.

  • What y’all have said makers sense. Thanks for the feedback
    Will do

  • I had to read that thoroughly and I've seen that you highlighted enthusiast, which is key because I can only recall one enthusiast contact me first, but that was mainly because I checked out her profile. She lives in Philadelphia but we had the chance to meet while I swung around Philly to watch the Brazil vs. Haiti World Cup game. It was a very pleasant day with some cuddles, a lunch date of sorts and my Brasileros on the pitch getting a W over Haiti.

If you have the opportunity to meet that enthusiast that hit you up, hope all goes well. I prolly just got lucky, but hey, you could be fortunate too.

  • I can and do fairly regularly reach out first and message others of all genders - but it's usually not locals, nor for the purpose of cuddles any time soon. Usually it'll be someone whose post in the forums particularly struck me, or a profile that stood out when I am browsing Wikipedia style. Some of those messages have resulted in cuddling, but usually not for months or even years due to logistics.

As an enthusiast, I have mostly viewed this site like the FB of cuddling rather than as a dating-style matchmaking site. It's all about community, friendship connections, learning, and passing down time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • I should add: I've met most of my longer-term cuddle partners out in the wild at events - both clients when a pro and now as an enthusiast. Most of them are not on CC, have never been on it, and do not wish to join. I love CC for the community, but it has drawbacks like any site, so I encourage people to branch out and try multiple options rather than putting all your hopes in one pot.

  • As an enthusiast, I have occasionally messaged cuddlers first of any gender. A couple have been within traveling distance of me, the majority are far away and I’m usually messaging because of forum activity.

  • @cuddlefaery where do you find these events?

  • @SelfMadeJay falas português?

  • @Jeremiaaahhh Meetup, Cuddle Party, FB groups, Eventbrite, Nextdoor, through contact improv & ecstatic dance groups, through pro cuddlers who run their own events, flyers on local bulletin boards (college campus, food & housing co-ops, community centers, rec centers, city government boards), even Craigslist community page.

Google can be a good starting place as well: "platonic cuddling near me", "cuddling + city name", "cuddle event + city name", "professional cuddler near me", etc.

  • Yes I have been messaged first. She is a regular poster here. And she has become a good friend.

  • Actually, I do reach out first. I probably am missing some opportunities but I stay on mute almost all the time.

  • I message people who visit my profile. I'm often curious why they did so. Did you visit her profile first?

  • Thanks @cuddlefaery!

@Briblossom they’re new and I hadn’t visited their profile first

  • Hi how's it going?

  • I always initiate conversations to those who view my profile. I know that people can be shy or even have some self doubt about me accepting them as a client, so I do this to reassure that I’m happy to cuddle anyone! I don’t get very many response back unfortunately. Maybe they think I’m a scammer, which makes me sad to think. But I still keep strong so that if there are even just a few people who benefit from me making first introductions, then it’s worth it to me in the end!

What I do to protect myself from being scammed is Mute myself, so I can't be searched and contacted.

If someone visits my profile, I check out theirs.

No one can message me first.

If I think someone's trying to scam me, I block or report them.

  • I have messaged people first countless times. It does seem to be rare for enthusiasts. Pro's message first all the time trying to rack up business. I even have a steady influx of messages from female Pro's. Sometimes they reach out for a genuine reason. Many times they mistakenly assume I'm a Pro and are wanting business advice. Sometimes they're trying to sniff out clients.

  • I have had enthusiasts reach out quite a bit. Of those, I would say 50% became meet ups, 30% online friends and the rest just ran its course because one of wasn’t feeling it. But I always returned each message and was never expecting anything because you never know if the cuddle stars are aligned until you chat for awhile and the bear decides to drop out of the race.

  • @Jeremiaaahhh Yeah well, they have their reasons, I have been blocked on dating sites just for initiating contact forst. Lol 😆
Hence one of many reasons, I'm no longer active on dating sites anymore. 😊

It's fine, as I have said before I am not much for initiating contact first these days for my own reasons I suppose. Thank you though.😊😏

  • the bear decides to drop out of the race.

    🐻🐻🐻🐻🐻

@TheFunCartel Hey now, the bear is staying!
    😁👍

  • Yes I got messaged by a female enthusiast first, she said something something like "You live a long way away, how are we going to meet up?" We've managed to meet three times, despite the distance, she's a lovely person and great cuddler.
