Who is on here looking for a relationship vs a cuddle?

Hi! I’ve often wondered who is on here in hopes of meeting and hoping to find a life partner versus just a person to cuddle with? It’s hard enough sorting through the profiles that barely say much-or the photos, if any which are sometimes blacked over the face. Or better yet profiles that rarely log on. What city in Texas has an active cuddle community? I’d be willing to drive out to find mutual friends. And no I’m not on here to find a life partner. I am always open for friendships :)

  • No one should be on here looking for romantic relationships and outing themselves here would be admitting to breaking the rules.

And your additional comment about traveling just seems like an ad for your services. And that doesn’t belong in the lounge. There’s only one place where pros can advertise.

@mariacross39 The Lounge is for controversial or contentious debates or those that become so. It's not the place for a post like this. Moving this to General.

Those who are here to find a life partner are banned, as this is not a dating site, and the TOS says it is not to be used as such.

  • You're best bet would be Austin if you're looking for a cuddle community. I went to a cuddlefest a few months back, and there's another one sometime this fall.

  • Not me. I don't pay anyone to stay. I pay them to leave lol. No offense

  • Cuddle only, but I've gotten some vibes from men that feel like they want more. That's why I chat, text, meet and greet in person before cuddling. Everyone has needs, mine is cuddling only.

  • Cuddling is for cuddling. It doesn't need to be anything more than that, because it's already great. Why can't things just be what they are?!?
It's not for finding a life partner or a therapist, it's for cuddling. It's not that difficult.

  • @VibeSeeker
lol I truly love your comment!
I’ve been told many times by men that they want the boundaries created by paying a professional.
Expectations of a romantic relationship don’t belong here imo but many people seem to come here looking for one.
That is also one of my firmest boundaries.

  • If you're talking only about friendships, I didn't come here looking for them, but wound up making some good friends from cuddling. Someone with whom we both could just have great interesting conversations that flowed naturally.

Just an observation from me i wanted to post. I feel like some pros will string guys along with heart emojis and saying words like dear and love amd sweetie. Why do that as to some people it would imply something that could be romantic in gesture to someone. I understand it is kindess but im sure alot of guys could take it the wrong way and see it as romantic. Again definetly bot arguing jist wamted to post something i see alot of.

    It's fine.

Folks have used terms of endearment directed towards mere acquaintances forever. It's a simple, friendly, verbal gesture that shouldn't be interpreted as anything more.

I understand the friendliness aspect of it, but I agree with @ksb30. It blurs the lines between the professional and personal relationship. Men who are in a vulnerable position and might wish for a personal relationship often misinterpret those terms as flirting which would lead to a romance that's never going to happen. Having a waitress that you'll never see again call you sweetie isn't likely to mislead anyone. Having a pro cuddler with whom you have spent an hour or more in intimate cuddles and conversation and maybe booked multiple times continually call you sweetie, love, etc. is something else entirely.

Has anyone's doctor ever addressed them as sweetie or love? Or lawyer, or plumber, or mechanic or anyone in a business relationship? I was once a pro, and I absolutely never used terms of endearment towards any cient.

  • Has anyone's doctor ever addressed them as sweetie or love?

Actually, yes. Last week I visited an urgent care clinic for an infected 2nd degree sunburn, and the very sympathetic female doctor called me "love" a couple of times.

She was very kind, but she has no interest in becoming romantically involved with me, nor I with her.

And the lady I take my dry cleaning to also refers to me as "love." I suspect I'm not her only customer she says this to.

These are just ancedotes, but I see nothing wrong with it amongst emotionally mature folks.

And I live in Texas, which is "The Friendly State."

  • Ah, Texas makes all the difference.

  • @ksb30 I think the pros are just using all their tools in their toolbox with the goal of getting business. Flirting and making a potential client feel special is part of what they can use to get you to choose them over the next pro. Is it morally right for them to do, maybe not. But since it’s not illegal, they will try to use their charm/emojis to sell their services.

  • I agree on this Hermes fully but in my heart I think a pro cuddler should know better.. dont they ever think that what they are doing could hurt someone, themselves or potentially cause them lots of trouble if someone is not in their right mind? I seen that so much here when I reach out and show my pics to them. For myself its a red flag and move on usually.

  • Personally I didn't start doing this in hopes of finding someone and starting a relationship with them.. But let's not kid ourselves and say that's never happened.. Heck when I first started doing this a couple years ago I read that a pro and a client met on this site next thing you know they're married.. And I'm sure there are guys out there who use this as a substitute for dating.. They just won't admit it. And yeah I can see where it can be confusing for some people when you have a pro call them sweetie, hun, baby etc. But living here in Texas you hear that almost on a daily basis. Heck when I had my one and only public session when I was on my way back home I was saying to myself this was a date.. Under any other circumstance that's what it would be called. I kind of think there's some pros out there who if the right guy came along and they met them on this site they would probably date them. Try as you might sometimes the heart wants what it wants.. Let's face it there's some lonely people out there but personally I treat this like I would date a co-worker.. Everyone will tell you that's a mistake, just like dating someone you meet here would be a mistake and possibly get both of you banned. There's plenty of sites out there if you're looking for a partner but this one ain't it.. This is a place where two people know and respect each other's boundaries, truly enjoy each other's company, and whether it's for a few hours or an overnight you can forget about everything else going on and enjoy each other's company..

  • I'm looking for a relationship to cuddling...

  • We should invent a word, Cuddleship. If no one has claimed it. I’m going to plant my flag!

@ProfHermes I definitely have heard cuddleship used a fair deal. Not here on the site, but at events, other cuddlers, etc.
