Everything I ask if a client requires their consent I do nothing in secret . Before I meet a client I tell them my safety protocol . If they agree we book a session .
Imo it only works if both people respect and adhere to each others mutual boundaries . Pro or not these are mine . I use the same requirements to go on a online date.
Also these safety precautions are also used in other professions that have more safety concerns like massage therapist who do our calls rather than only in a spa or storefront location .

I don't ask for ID when processing credit cards & I'm not from CA, so that law is a moot point in this context - unless there are pros out there requiring a photo ID on file to run your credit card... But I have yet to hear about that. Nor are we running hotels. Nice try though. What a bizzarre and unfounded attempt to discourage safety and professionalism here. I honestly find it concerning. We should be encouraging safe, responsible practices here, supporting one another. Not fear-mongering or discouraging safety. We're not talking about taking blood samples, fingerprints or first borns lol. After all, we are inviting clients into our homes or we are going to theirs, alone, often on a regular basis. Vet one another, build trust, focus on cuddles, share amazing experiences with each other, but please, be smart about your process - whatever that is. And PLEASE make sure you understand what you are sharing with this community. Better yet, don't rely on what you read here. Consult an actual professional who is fluent on your sate's laws relating to this specific industry because there is a lot of misinformation flying around here. Be safe, take care of yourselves & one another and get on with spreading the !!

Just like we can’t force you who to hire or not " - actually your State and Federal governments have quite a lot to say about how people run businesses. I would just advise to make sure your safety protocols are complying with any applicable laws.
I’ll rephrase for clarity not just anyone can tell me . Yes I must abide by the law . I’ve done my own research I spoke to lawyers as well as police about my safety protocol . ID is not requested because I’m taking a credit card but for safety protocols whether people use cash or credit . I’m using same safety protocol used by most salons and independent contractors for masseurs and hair dresses who do outcalls .
No one has the right to tell me what I can and can't do to feel safe. If you don't feel comfortable, hire someone else. Let 'em lock me up for protecting myself! If you don't feel comfortable with my methods, move on and let me fill that space with someone else. No big deal.
If I got asked for ID, I'll block out everything except my picture and first name.
