@stellarosass and @pmvines - yessss! Cuddling while in a pool is definitely wonderful! Dancing in the water too! I also love how you said that, "Unique sensorium for cuddling up." I have gotten to do this a few times; the weightlessness is unique and fabulous, great way to bond and have fun with it!
I used to have one cuddle buddy who was also touch-starved and was into cuddling while doing nearly EVERYTHING/anything, and I LOVED that. And miss it! Touching/cuddling while making food, walking together in a silly fashion to keep touching, while doing anything nearly!
I love these:

And, yes, you can totally cuddle without using your hands, while doing other activities -- legs and bodies otherwise entwined while you do an activity by yourself or together can be great too.
